π³π Year 1 Adventure at Ampthill Park! ππ³
Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring Ampthill Park!
We were incredibly lucky to witness the excavation of a recently discovered World War One trench, believed to have been part of a training camp from over 100 years ago. It was fascinating to see history being uncovered before our eyes!
The children enjoyed an exciting walk through the hills, park and forest, keeping a close lookout for a very special visitor... the Gruffalo! ππΎ They also had lots of fun playing in the park, enjoying time with their friends and making the most of the beautiful surroundings.
With lovely weather, plenty of exploring and lots of smiles along the way, it was a fantastic day of outdoor learning and adventure. We were so proud of the children's enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent behaviour throughout the trip.
What a memorable day! πΏβ¨

π Year 5 Visit to Warden Hill π
Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic day exploring Warden Hill as part of their learning in Geography and Art.
The children investigated how the landscape has been shaped by both physical and human processes, looking for signs of erosion and discussing how weather, water and human activity can change the land over time. They also developed their artistic skills, using viewfinders to focus on and sketch sections of the beautiful surrounding landscape.
With warm sunshine, clear skies and a lovely picnic outdoors, the weather couldn't have been better! βοΈ
We were incredibly proud of the children, who demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout the day, showing enthusiasm, curiosity and respect for both the environment and each other.

π·π΄ Year 2 Romanian Day π·π΄
What a fantastic day Year 2 has had celebrating Romania as the grand finale to their Geography unit!
The children looked amazing dressed in red, blue and yellow and enjoyed making Romanian flags, creating their own embroidered shirts, learning about Romanian culture and traditions, and tasting some delicious traditional Romanian food.
The children also made mΔrΘiΘoare (traditional Romanian spring tokens given to celebrate the first day of spring) and learnt some traditional Romanian dancing. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and embracing a different culture.
A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who prepared the tasty treats for the children to sample β they were a big hit!

π¨β¨ KS1 Art Club β Week 3 β¨π¨
This week, our young artists stepped into the colourful world of Pablo Picasso as they explored the fascinating Cubist style of art.
The children learned how Picasso created portraits by showing different viewpoints of a face at the same time, using bold shapes, lines and colours. Inspired by his unique approach, they created their own Cubist portraits, experimenting with facial features, geometric shapes and creative designs.
It was fantastic to see their imaginations come to life as they embraced this new artistic style and produced such vibrant, expressive artwork.
Well done to all our budding artists β we are so proud of your creativity and enthusiasm! π¨π

π³π Year 5 Morning Nature Walk to Bramingham Woods ππ³
Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic morning walk to Bramingham Woods, where they immersed themselves in the sights, sounds and textures of the natural world.
As they explored the woodland, the children reflected on how being surrounded by nature can positively impact our health, wellbeing and mental health. They collected natural treasures from the forest floor, including leaves, twigs, feathers and petals, to create special "memory makers" inspired by their experience.
We were also incredibly lucky to spot some wonderful wildlife, including a muntjac deer, squirrels and a pair of jay birds! π¦πΏοΈπ¦
It was a lovely morning of exploration, mindfulness and creativity, helping the children develop a deeper appreciation for the benefits of spending time outdoors.

ππ World Ocean Day 2026 π π
Year 5 took part in a fantastic live online event to celebrate World Ocean Day, diving into the fascinating world of the Manta Ray!
The children learnt about the different types of manta rays, where they live, how scientists identify individuals through their unique patterns, and why some species are vulnerable and at risk of extinction. They were amazed to discover that manta rays have a real-life superpower β the ability to repair and regrow damage to their bodies, including bites from sharks! π¦β¨
Following the event, Year 5 continued their learning during assembly before putting their creativity to work by designing their own 'Clean the Ocean' inventions that could help protect our seas in the future. ππ
