Goslings have been learning about money.
We have been enjoying The Great Pet Sale by Mick Inkpen and recreating it in our role play.
We also made a 1-20 number line with real coins.

Goldfinch class have enjoyed their computing topic this half term, they have worked hard exploring Scratch.

The Swans were spoiled today by two mystery readers! After guessing clues all morning, the children closed their eyes until our special parent guests walked through the door, resulting in lots of excitement and high-fives.
Everyone loved the stories. We enjoyed a touching tale about a little girl that taught us to be mindful of feelings, followed by the fun adventures of a little gentoo penguin. A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers

Toucan class put their debating skills to the test as they explored the pros and cons of The Creakers! 📚 Through thoughtful discussion, they learnt key debating terminology, listened respectfully to different viewpoints, and confidently justified their opinions. Fantastic speaking and listening skills on display! 👏

This is money week. So, we used real pennies to explore sharing and grouping.

We found out that when you share equally between 2 then that number is even. If a number won't share fairly between 2 that means the number is odd.

Later we looked for a pattern by colouring odd and even numbers.

In our computing lesson today, Wrens practised their programming skills on Scratch Jr. They had a lot of fun, changing their sprite, creating different backgrounds and giving their sprite commands. Lots of great collaboration skills involved!

Toucan class have made an explosive start to their topic 'Catastrophes!' They have each made their own volcano and today took turns to erupt them using household items!
