It was a bit of an emotional week for us last week as we say goodbye to a wonderful GCSE student whom I’ve had the absolute privilege of working with during the day for the past 18 months.
Together, we’ve covered a massive amount of ground across five different GCSE subjects. When she first started, we had quite a few gaps to close, but her work ethic has been nothing short of incredible. She has turned up every single week, put in the hours, and pushed through the tough topics without ever giving up.
I am so immensely proud of the progress she’s made and the confidence she has built. I am going to miss our sessions (a lot!), but she was more than ready for these exams. Huge good luck K, I’ll miss you lots. 💞💕

Archie has been working so incredibly hard over the past few weeks on his geometry skills, and it is really paying off.
He can now independently calculate the area of a compound shape, a triangle, and a trapezium. These are tricky shapes that require remembering completely different formulas and steps, so seeing him tackle them all on his own is just brilliant.
Massive well done, Archie! Keep up the fantastic work.
It is always lovely to see our long-standing students thriving. Frankie-John has been coming to us since he was in Year 5, and he has gone from strength to strength.
This week, we focused on what he’s currently learning in school: factors, multiples, and primes. This is a topic where it’s incredibly easy for children to mix up the definitions, so we spent the session consolidating his knowledge and talking through a few little misconceptions he had.
By the end of the lesson, he absolutely had it down. Brilliant work Frankie-John! 🌟
We are so incredibly proud of Jessica, one of our Year 5 students. She has been working so hard with us and is making absolutely huge progress.
She tackled a full SATs paper so we could run a gap analysis and pinpoint exactly what she needs to focus on next. She did brilliantly.
One of the big things we always emphasise is how crucial the arithmetic paper is. A lot of people don't realise that if a child can really master and secure those arithmetic skills, they’ve pretty much secured a pass on the maths element of the SATs before they even look at the harder reasoning papers. Jessica is well on her way to nailing that solid foundation. Well done, Jessica!
Yesterday was the last session with the wonderful Eloisa and Leila. Leila has been with us for nearly 3 years and Eloisa 2 years. 😢
We have our fingers, toes and eyes crossed for your girls as you sit your final maths exam today. You have both worked so hard and we will miss you lots. Make sure you keep in touch and let us know how you get on. 🌟 🤗 ❤️
A massive shoutout to Owen, one of our Year 8 students who has been coming to us for a few weeks now. He is fantastic at maths but just needed a bit of a confidence boost to realise it.
I took a photo of his amazing work last week because he did so well, and spoke to his dad tonight as he's absolutely smashed it again. I’m just so proud of how hard he's working and so glad he's enjoying his sessions.

We’ve been busy with 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', ending the session by making a massive fruit salad fit for a caterpillar to eat!
Ronaldo and Messi took their roles very seriously as head of quality control, making sure everything tasted just right. 😂 🍉

When Joshua first started with us, division was a real stumbling block. He found it so tricky that he’d completely avoid doing it if he could! 🙈
But he didn't give up. We’ve worked so hard together on different strategies to help it click, and honestly, the change has been amazing. His division skills are now an absolute strength of his, and I couldn't be prouder of his determination.
On another note, he’s auditioning for the school end-of-year play today to play Pinocchio! Wishing you the absolute best of luck, Joshua you’re going to be fantastic! 🌟🎭

Just wanted to share a quick post to say how incredibly proud we are of Max right now.
Behind every single "lightbulb moment" or little boost in confidence is a student who chooses to keep pushing, even when the work gets tough. Showing up week after week and putting in that consistent effort is exactly how those big results are made.
