What a gorgeous sunny day spent amongst the fabulous Withington Baths community - celebrating 11 years. Bear Hunt in the newly refurbished garden. Beers from Burton Rd Brewing Co and delicious food from Boz's Pizza and BBQ Coffee from Purpose Coffee Company . Great music through out, bake off and dog fancy dress. Highlight definitely Martha chatting with Len Grant and watching the master at work ❤️. What a day. Thank you to Withington Baths for having me and to Nuela for organising. And Nat for helping set up x

It was such a privilege to have the opportunity to be part of the opening of the new seating area in Old Moat Park yesterday. We were joined by three groups of fabulous primary school children from different local schools. I did two stories one about a plastic bag called Stanley and the other about a very tidy badger called Pete ❤️

Thanks to and for the funding, for the books, Baths for the loan of the gazebos and tables, for the fruit and MCRparks for ranger support. And special thanks to the , volunteers and for helping out during the sessions. And finally to the fabulous for giving me the opportunity 😊. I love our community and our wonderful parks 🌳and Withington Library for providing a change of venue when the downpour hit ☔️

My sister very kindly bought me a package with a professional organiser for my Christmas present. I must admit that I found the thought of actually getting started on my attic beyond overwhelming 😅. A trove of my life- everything from my own baby shoes/ teenage memorabilia , every card I’d ever been sent and all my university paperwork / hundreds of books / over flowing craft supplies - basically a lot of stuff 😩. I was nervous about the process being a massive trigger - I’d even kept all the cards sent to my Mum when she was sick before she died. Anyway all I can say is what an inspirational, smooth and actually fun experience it was working with Amy I feel so much lighter now, bit by bit she helped me to part with possessions that were just cluttering my life.. I now have a much clearer and user friendly space that works. My head definitely feels lighter without the extra baggage. And I still have all the special memories and keep sakes ❤️

Mary is such a gorgeous presence. Seeing her on a Wednesday always brightens my day. I met her daughter a few weeks ago and she was telling me that she used to work as a primary school teacher. She is always mesmerised by the children and today she broke into song and remembered all the words to Old Macdonald - what a joy to see ❤️. Next terms classes are now available to book Mondays at 11.15am in Sale and Wednesdays at 11am in West Didsbury.
