Interested in hand embroidery or slow stitching? If so, how about learning the stem stitch. Obviously you can use it for stems but it is so useful for many projects. You get a beautiful continuous rope-like effect.

I am starting a new series on hand embroidery on both my website and YouTube. This is an opportunity for everyone to get involved. This will show you lots of different stitches that are easy to master.
This all fits into the slow stitching that I have been embracing. I absolutely love it and it is so relaxing.
I am starting with the running stitch and the whipped running stitch.
