Who said libraries had to be quiet? 🎸🎤📚
What a fantastic time we had as part of this year’s Festival of Libraries / Festival of Lifelong Learning at the Library!
We transformed the library’s creative space for a special two-hour adult jamming session, with the stage set and ready for local Wythenshawe residents to come along, plug in, and play together. From guitars and keyboards to drums and vocals, musicians of all abilities joined forces to create something truly special.
The atmosphere was incredible, the community spirit was buzzing, and most importantly… it sounded SO GOOD!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part. Events like this prove that learning, creativity, and music have no age limit. We can’t wait to do it all again soon!

This amazing human called Arthur of is running the AJ Bell Half Marathon for Music Evermore! What a legend. A half marathon is no mean feat, especially in this heat! Hopefully it has cooled down next weekend and he can run in the rain like Gene Kelly. Please send him words of encouragement and donate if you can! Thank you so much, Arthur!🏃♂️🤘🏻

Music Evermore is proud to announce that we have been commissioned by Manchester City Council to deliver community consultation as part of the Pride in Place government funding programme.
As part of this work, we’re excited to launch a 4-day Industry Pathway taster course for young people aged 16–18 living in Benchill & Central Wythenshawe.
This is the first step in developing a 2-year, part-time evening programme (subject to funding), designed to give young people a real pathway into paid work within the music industry — including areas such as live sound, stage production, instrument tech, and more.
The course is ideal for those already attending our popular weekly band sessions, creating a clear next step and progression route into the industry.
Want to get involved?
