Let’s grab some coffee! ☕️
Our students had lots of fun with Mery in this week’s Coffee Club! Learning English is incredibly fun when good company and coffee is involved.
Don’t forget, Coffee Club is available every Tuesday from 1:50-2:50. Our Coffee Club provides students with a fun and interactive way to improve their speaking and listening skills outside of a classroom environment. Not only that, but students can also enjoy a delicious cup of hot coffee with their conversation! ☕️

Our students got creative this week in our painting workshop! 🎨
Despite the rain and cool temperatures that we have experienced recently in Manchester, summer is only 10 days away! Therefore, the theme for this painting workshop was summer! ☀️
Our students were tasked with painting something that they associated with summer. This could be a landscape, food, a memory—absolutely anything! We think our students did a great job!Another arts & crafts workshop will be available on Monday, 22nd June. In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to paint a portrait of one another. We look forward to seeing what our students produce. 🖼️🎨🖌️

Our Intermediate class has been learning about stereotypes recently, but what exactly is a stereotype? 🤔
Stereotype (noun): a fixed, oversimplified, and generalised belief about a particular group of people or things.
Our students learned that stereotypes can often oversimplify an observation or belief, and that many stereotypes can often be harmful when used in the wrong context.
Some stereotypes, however, can be quite amusing. For example, two common stereotypes about the UK are that everyone loves to drink tea and that it always rains. Whilst we can’t confirm that these statements are 100% accurate, there is certainly an element of truth to them. After all, who doesn’t love a hot cup of tea on a rainy day? 🫖🌧️
Here at Kings Hall College, we love nothing more than to provide our students with a variety of interesting topics that can help them improve their English fluency in fun and engaging ways. If you would like to learn more about our General English courses, please get in touch.
