What a busy week we've had here at Kiddiewinkles!
Staff are busy prepping for the last term, making sure our little Kiddiewinkles are ready for big school! We've had school visits and teachers coming in to see children! It's all go go go!
The children continue to have lots of fun with their friends, building strong bonds and relationships that hopefully will carry on when they go to school with each other 💙

Have a lovely weekend everyone and for all the Dads, Grandads, Uncles, Carers and Men in our children's lives, we wish you a Happy Fathers Day for Sunday ☺️

We can't believe how quickly the summer weeks are going at Kiddiewinkles Urmston! 💛💙

We've taken advantage of the warmer weather to move some of our activities outside: mark making with paint and chalk, playing hide and seek with the bees to practice our counting, scrubbing the dinosaurs with soapy water, and on Wednesday we even had lunch outside as a treat!

Inside we have decorated CDs to make a sun catcher, helped cleaning the tables and stacking the chairs, and pushed each other around in the trolleys. 💿🫧

We have had a busy fun filled couple of days . Yesterday it was international picnic day so Holly took the children to pick fresh strawberries, we then washed them and ate them for snack. The children all brought in a teddy bear and we had a picnic outside for lunch together.
We have also really enjoyed water play this week, sorry if lots of the children have come home with wet clothes, we have just been having so much fun! They absolutely love tipping and pouring and even using the paintbrushes to paint the fence and church wall with water.
Today we also did collage pictures with Karen for a surprise for Sunday, if your child didn't do one today they will be doing one tomorrow!
Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow this last half term is flying by ♥️

Today at Kiddiewinkles Christ Church, we have had a busy day in the garden, having fun with our Sea creatures, riding bikes & scooters, digging in the mud kitchen, ball games, sand play, reading books & looking after dolls. Indoors we have enjoyed mindfulness, playdough, construction play in corn flakes with trucks & filling and emptying tools. We have had lots of fun, very good joining in & looking after each other. 🌻💛

We have had a lovely day today the sun was shining ☀️ and we thought why not make a sun catcher. 🙌 we used stickers to decorate CDs, there was a lot of concentration going on as we peeled the stickers using our hand eye coordination. Maddison then tied them on to string and attached them to a pole. It's going to look lovely over the summer 🌞⛱️

We have been on some Bus rides!
We set off in different groups and took the children to experience a bus ride today as some of our Kiddiewinkles haven't been on one before as they travel in cars or walk 💙
It was very exciting and we sang one of our favourite songs while travelling, The Wheels on The Bus!
We spotted different things on the bus, the bell, the driver, other people, and one group even saw a dog sat nicely with their owner!

It was a lovely experience for the children 💙

Fridays Photos!
We had a messy Friday here at Christ Church! The children made their own play doh by choosing a colour, adding the ingredients to the bowl and giving it a good mix. We looked at it and decided if it needed more flour or water, then they used their hands to knead it all together. Some play doh was very sticky, some was too dry!
The children then added different utensils to the tuff tray with the play doh. We had lots of cutting and chopping 💛

Our den was still up and being used for hiding and exploring lights too 💙

It's the beginning of the week again, these weeks are flying by 🙌 at Kiddiewinkles Urmston 💙💛

1 of our children came dressed as a witch today,he found a stick and was pretending to turn his friends into different things, our favorite was a cow 😆.
Following on from this Rachel got some resources out to decorate the wands, we used paint, glitter and glue.
The fun things about working in Early Years is watching the children use the resources in completely different ways than you had envisioned. Each and everyone of the children were exploring the resources differently, learning through this opportunity. We had glitter being shaken in the paint, different coloured paint being mixed together, glue being watched as it dripped off the spreader, cars being painted then rolled through the paint, hands being pressed in the paint bowls and then onto big pieces of paper, all this from a witches outfit. It was a very messy Monday haha.

We have also had the water tray out fishing for ducks, fish, cars and dinosaurs 🦖 you name it, it was in there 😂

Fab day everyone

Today at Kiddiewinkles Urmston was all about VEHICLES 🚗🚓🚌🚂✈️

We built roads, slid cars down ramps, landed planes on roofs, battled with Transformers, sailed with the pirate ship, and drove trains.

We also drew on the colouring board (and made spiky fingers with the pen lids!), built with the stickle bricks, and ate lots of strawberries at snack time... but nothing was as interesting to the children today as the vehicle box! 💛💙
