This week Frances visited White Spire school in Bletchley to speak to students in years 9-11 about Animal Care and Horse Care courses and potential careers in these sectors. The students were very interested and she received lots of great questions about what she does at work and what it is like to work in these fields.
White Spire is a specialist provision for children and young people within Milton Keynes whose primary need is Cognition and Learning. All pupils who attend White Spire School have an EHCP (Educational, Health, Care Plan).
๐ Thank you White Spire for welcoming Aim High to your school!

๐โโ๏ธOur Head of Learning, Frances, was volunteering at an ELSA Next Generation event in Essendon earlier this week:
ELSA Next Generation is a non-profit organisation that seeks to offer young people valuable experiences to bridge the gap between education and employment. Through unique career-focussed and action-oriented programmes, ELSA teaches young people the essential personal and professional skills that employers are looking for today.
As a volunteer, Frances was interviewed by the young people to find out more about her qualifications, and the route she has taken to reach her current role. The day was filled with laughter, enthusiasm and positivity, aspirations were raised, confidence grew and the young people began to recognise what they are capable of achieving. Most importantly, they left with greater confidence and a stronger belief in their own potential. This closely aligns with Aim Highโs own objectives and we have now committed to deliver a workshop at one of the future ELSA events.
