Over the year, around 40 students have explored mental health and wellbeing through poetry, photography, art and writing.

Year 11 – Still Thinking About September?

Excelsior Academy is proud to support Newcastle City Council’s and Newcastle Careers Teams' upcoming events.

These are a great opportunity for students who are still unsure about their next steps to explore Post-16 options and speak to a range of education and training providers. Friendly careers advisers will be there to offer guidance and support applications.

We warmly invite parents and carers to our Year 7 Parents Evening to celebrate your child’s progress and explore their learning journey so far. Primary Football Festival – Inspiring Young Talent
Congratulations to Mr Glenwright, Head of the Football Academy, who hosted a fantastic Primary Football Festival on Wednesday.
He witnessed an excellent standard of football, with players showing great spirit, teamwork and a real love for the game. ⚽

Become a Mentor – Make a Difference
We are inviting parents and carers to become mentors and help transform the life of a young person. You can help support a looked after student, building their confidence and raising their aspirations by simply listening, encouraging, and being a consistent, trusted adult.

School Health Drop-In with NHS Nurses Mondays 1pm - 3pm

A safe space where students can talk, ask questions, and get support with their wellbeing.

Being brave isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s taking that first step to ask for help. We’re proud of every student who shows the courage to look after their wellbeing. Let’s carry that bravery into this week. ✨
