Our Lower Site learners are currently on their final residential. Over the course of the next couple of days, they will be taking part in river walking, canoeing, kayaking and a range of team-building games designed to challenge them and build confidence, but we always take time to sit, breathe and take in the amazing views! π

EXPLORE: Chopwell Woods π³π
Do you ever take time in nature to think about what youβre thankful for? Thatβs exactly what learners from Trinity Academy Newcastle Upper Site did during their visit to Chopwell Woods.
As part of their Explore curriculum, learners took time to slow down and appreciate the natural world around themβspotting the different shades of green and brown in the forest, noticing the colours of the flowers, and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. πΏπΈ
The visit encouraged learners to be mindful, reflect, and enjoy the calming benefits of spending time outdoors.
Deep breath in⦠hold⦠and release.
Namaste! π

Games Club π²βοΈ
Our learners have been enjoying spending time in Games Club during break and lunchtime, with a wide range of board games, card games, crafts, and sensory activities available.
Recently, chess and draughts have been particularly popular, while Top Trumps remains a firm favourite! Learners have also been getting creative with Diamond Art and bracelet making, exploring sensory play with sand, and taking part in fun group games. π¨β¨
Most importantly, Games Club is for everyone. It provides a safe and welcoming space where learners can relax, socialise, and spend time with their peers during less structured parts of the school day.
Our learners have described Games Club as a place for "playing everything and having fun" and "a good place to chill." Another shared, "There are so many things I can do." π
Itβs fantastic to see learners trying new activities, building friendships, and making the most of this inclusive and supportive space. ππ

Surfs Up, Dude! πββοΈπ
Some lucky learners from Trinity Academy Newcastle Upper Site enjoyed an exciting visit to Beadnell Bay, where they took part in a surfing session delivered by the fantastic team at Fearless Adventure.
Everyone had an amazing time, with plenty of laughter, spectacular wipeouts, and lots of determination! We even discovered a couple of naturally talented surfers who were totally radical! π€
The journey home was filled with very tired but very happy faces after a day of adventure, challenge, and fun.

Today our Lower Site learners took turns cleaning the school minibus, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, responsibility and independence. π§½πβ¨
By helping to care for school property, learners are developing important life skills and understanding the value of looking after shared resources. From wiping down surfaces to making sure the minibus is tidy and ready for its next journey; everyone played their part with enthusiasm and pride.
Opportunities like this help build confidence, encourage independence and teach our learners that taking ownership of their environment is something to be proud of.
Well done to everyone involved for showing such maturity and respect for our school community! ππ

Massive congratulations to our two lucky winners of last termβs βIn It to Win Itβ attendance competition!
Each winner has received an amazing Β£50 in vouchers to spend at a shop of their choice. π
Learners earned raffle tickets simply by coming to school every dayβthe more days you attended, the more tickets you received and the greater your chance of winning.
A fantastic reminder that every day counts. Well done to everyone who took part, and keep up the brilliant attendance! ππ

Healthy Options πππ₯€
As the weather starts to warm up (fingers crossed! βοΈ), our Key Stage 3 learners have been discussing their favourite drinks and the ones they enjoy most often.
We discovered that many popular drinks contain unhealthy ingredients, so we decided to create a healthier alternativeβfrozen fruit smoothies! ππ
The learners had great fun making and tasting their smoothies, and as you can see, they thoroughly enjoyed trying something new. A refreshing way to learn about making healthy choices! π
