We're moving...Saturday 27 June will be the final day that Walker Library operates from the Walker Activity Dome. The library will be closed on Tuesday 30 June.
From Thursday 1 July, Walker Library will be located at Tree Top Village (Walker Road, NE6 3JW)
Opening hours from 1 July:
Tuesday: 10am-5pm
Thursday: 10am-6pm
Friday: 10am-2pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm

🎶 CALLING ALL BANDS & MUSICIANS! 🎶
We’re looking for local bands, solo artists and musicians to help make this year’s Thursdays extra special!
Throughout the summer holidays, we’ll be hosting live music sessions every Thursday from 5pm and would love to hear from performers interested in gifting a gig and supporting our community events programme.
We’re keen to showcase a wide variety of musical styles and performers so whether you’re acoustic, indie, jazz, folk, rock, pop, classical or something completely unique — we’d love to hear from you!

Tonight, Newcastle City Library was honoured to host a special event; How NOT to Flee a War, a compelling talk by Ukrainian journalist Maria Romanenko and Jez Myers, telling the story of their escape from Kyiv in February 2022.
