Day2 of the Year 9 Geography residential. A trip to Blakeney Point, arguably Europe’s finest example of a spit. The seals here produce over 10,000 pubs a year, and with no known predators and favourable environment due to the pristine and shallow waters in these parts, the colony is thriving. They are curious creatures, nearly as curious as our Year 9 students. We finished on Wells Beach. A little r&r, making sand sculptures and eating ice cream…..

Year 9 Geography Residential in Norfolk. You can’t get much better for a coastal processes classroom than this. Pupils learned how to do a transect and track sand dune succession. Then a land use survey in Wells-Next-The-Sea and an opportunity to buy ice cream and tourist trinkets before supper at our youth hostel and getting together to watch the football. All tucked up now and ready for tomorrow’s adventures!
