Reception class have recently been learning more about animals. During our trip to the zoo, the children were thrilled to see the bears, tigers, and tortoises up close. Their excitement was
infectious, and they asked thoughtful questions as they observed how each animal moved, behaved and interacted with its environment.
Back at school, we were lucky enough to welcome a variety of animals into our classroom. The children showed incredible bravery and gentle hands as they had the opportunity to handle or touch a snake, hedgehog, stick insect and lizard. These hands-on encounters helped deepen their understanding of different species and sparked lots of wonderful conversations.
