Due to the continued extreme heat, we have taken the decision to cancel the sports day scheduled for this Friday.

We have rescheduled sports day for the final day of term.

We are continuing to monitor the weather carefully and are following all safety guidance published by the Department for Education. Should any further adjustments to the school week be required, we will communicate these with you as soon as possible.

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming whole school production of Our House, the award-winning musical featuring the iconic hits of Madness.

Our House is an Olivier Award-winning musical by Tim Firth, featuring the popular songs of the ska band Madness, set in 1980s Camden Town, London, telling the story of Joe Casey's two possible life paths after a fateful night on his 16th birthday, exploring themes of love, family, and choices, with hits like "Our House," "Baggy Trousers," and "It Must Be Love"

Get ready for an amazing day of fun and competition on Friday 26th June!

*Please ensure all students come into school wearing their PE kit.

🍿 Refreshments & Treats:

Our fantastic PTFA will be serving refreshments throughout the day, and we'll also have an ice cream van on site! 🍦

⚠️ Important Note: It is CASH ONLY for the PTFA treats, with prices ranging from 40p to £2. Please bring along some change! 🪙

On 30th June Rushden Academy will be hosting our annual Culture Day.

Culture Day brings together the diverse cultures represented within our student body and to help make this day a truly immersive and educational experience, we are reaching out to local businesses and community members to ask if you would be willing to donate small food samples representing your culture or your time to run a workshop with our students.

If you are interested and able to contribute to this event, please contact our EAL Coordinator, Mrs. Helen Buckoke ([email protected]), to discuss the details.

Our Ethos team is hosting a series of free workshops, drop-ins, and support sessions from Monday 22nd June – Thursday 25th June 2026.

Whether you want to grab a coffee outside of school, pick up a free "Meal in a Bag," or get practical advice on online safety, attendance, or family relationships, Jenni is here to help!
