👣🌿 Exploring the Sensory Trail 🌿👣

Today we enjoyed time on our sensory trail, using our senses and feet to discover different textures, sounds, sights, and sensations along the way.

Sensory trails offer so many benefits, including:
✨ Encouraging sensory exploration and awareness
✨ Supporting balance, coordination, and motor skills
✨ Promoting mindfulness and being present in the moment
✨ Building confidence through new experiences
✨ Providing opportunities for physical activity and outdoor learning

From feeling different surfaces under our feet to listening to the sounds of nature around us, every step was an adventure! 🌳🍂☀️

What a wonderful way to learn, explore, and connect with the world around us.

We used the leaves we collected to make prints. They all did an excellent job and they looked amazing 🤩

We love our adventures in the woods. Today we collects leaves and wild flowers and had great fun playing hide and seek in the long grass

We’ve had a super day going on a train trip into town to visit the library to join in on their singing tots time. Living our best lives 🥰🤩😁❤️

What a wonderful few weeks we’ve had!

We’ve enjoyed lots of exciting outings, including trips to the park, singing sessions at the library, and visits to the garden centre. Back at the setting, we’ve spent plenty of time outdoors, following the children’s interests and making the most of our garden.

It has been lovely to see the older children playing alongside and supporting the younger children, building friendships, confidence, and learning together.

Most importantly, we’ve had lots of fun through play, exploration, and shared experiences. We can’t wait to see what adventures the children lead us on next! 🌿☀️🎵🛝

Some days I just sit back and feel so proud of what this Little Gems family has become. 💛

Watching new families join us, seeing old friendships continue to grow, and watching the children build such special bonds with one another honestly makes me feel like the luckiest person.

It’s more than just childminding to me — it’s a little community filled with laughter, learning, kindness, and friendships that mean so much. Seeing children excited to see each other each day and families connecting along the way is the most rewarding feeling.
