๐ฟ What's Happening This Week at the NaMasYoga Studio? ๐ฟ
This week we're excited to be hosting 'Zen for Men', led by the wonderful .flow_state.
Many of you already know and love Homby's teaching style, calming presence, and ability to create a relaxed, welcoming, and supportive environment. As part of the NamasYoga team, Homby brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and genuine passion for helping people move, feel, and live better.
In recognition of Men's Health Week and Father's Day, this special workshop has been designed with the modern-day man in mind.
Over 1.5 hours, Homby will guide participants through a practical movement-based workshop focusing on men's biomechanics, primal movement patterns, functional strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing.
The session combines elements of:
โจ Yoga
โจ Basic Animal Flow
โจ Functional Strength Exercises
Together, these practices create an accessible and engaging ground-based movement session designed to build strength, improve mobility, increase body awareness, and support long-term physical health.
The workshop will then slow down with breathwork, restorative stretching, and nervous system regulation techniques to help reduce stress, manage anxiety, and encourage relaxation.
To finish, you'll be treated to the soothing sounds of Homby's live handpan during your final relaxation โ a beautiful opportunity to completely unwind and recharge.
Whether you're looking to improve strength and mobility, support your mental wellbeing, learn practical tools for stress management, or simply spend time with a group of like-minded men, this workshop offers a welcoming and supportive space to do just that.

I am so excited to finally share a project that I have been quietly working on behind the scenes...
In September 2027, I am planning a very special 'Italian Cultural Yoga Retreat in Tuscany'.
Nestled amongst rolling vineyards, ancient olive groves, and the breathtaking Tuscan countryside near Siena, our retreat home will be a beautiful historic villa full of charm, character, and authentic Italian spirit.
Imagine waking up to panoramic views across the Tuscan landscape, beginning your day with yoga, enjoying delicious local cuisine, exploring centuries of history and culture, sharing long outdoor meals beneath the Italian sky, and embracing the slower pace of life that makes this region so magical.
This retreat will be about so much more than yoga.

โจ A Chapter Closes, But the Connections Remain โจ
Today felt a little emotional.
After nearly three years of teaching , I have made the difficult decision to step away and focus my energy on growing NaMasYoga Studio. This decision was not made lightly. Fusion has been such an important part of my teaching journey, and leaving behind something that has brought me so much joy is never easy.
What started as a yoga class became so much more.
Over the months and years, we shared movement, breath, laughter, challenges, recovery journeys, life updates, and endless conversations. We celebrated victories, supported each other through difficult times, and somehow managed to create something very special.
After class this morning, as we gathered together for a cuppa and cake, it became clear just how much this group has grown beyond yoga. We even decided to start our own Fusion Ladies WhatsApp group โ because what we have built is more than a weekly yoga class. It's friendship, support, community and genuine care for one another.
Who would have thought that a simple yoga class could become such a strong support network?
Together we've survived countless Chair Poses, wobbled through Tree Poses, laughed through my occasional miscounting, mixed-up body parts, and moments of complete confusion. Yet somehow, through all of that, we've also shared wisdom, encouragement, kindness and so many laughs.
As a teacher, we often wonder whether we are making a difference. Looking around the table this morning, I realised that together we've achieved something really meaningful. I've watched so many of you become stronger in your bodies, calmer in your minds, and more confident in yourselves. But you've also had an incredible impact on me.
The truth is, this group has been one of the greatest highlights of my journey as a yoga teacher.
Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, laughing with me, and allowing me to be part of your lives.
Whilst this chapter may be ending, the friendships and connections we've built will continue.
I feel incredibly grateful, humbled and blessed.

โจ I promised myself I would be back in June once everything settledโฆ and here I am (earlier than I thought ๐คช)โจ
Starting again. Slowly. Gently. Kindly ๐ค
Today was an hour in the gym with my husband โ definitely slower than what Iโm used to, definitely feeling it ๐โฆ but I showed up, and right now that feels enough.
Sometimes we forget that beginning again does not need to look dramatic or perfect. It can look like moving slower, taking breaks, adjusting expectations, listening to your body, and learning to be gentle with yourself through the process.
And honestly? That still counts ๐ซถ
It was so lovely seeing familiar faces in the gym again today. Little moments like that remind me how important community really is โ being surrounded by supportive people who simply let you show up exactly as you are.
No pressure. No perfection. Just taking things one step, one breath, and one workout at a time โจ

You do not need to rush your healing, your progress, or your journey. Slow progress is still progress ๐ค
