🏅 Sports Day 2026 🏅

It was touch and go with the weather, but what a fabulous day we all had!

KS2 started the day brilliantly, earning lots of points in the carousel activities and treating us to some very exciting races with some incredibly close finishes. Congratulations to Saint John Houghton House, who finished 1st overall in the KS2 Sports Day competition! 🏆

EYFS and KS1 rounded off the day perfectly, showing fantastic sportsmanship, determination and enthusiasm throughout all of their events. Well done to every child who took part, but a special mention must go to our Reception children for completing their very first Sports Day – you were amazing! ⭐ Congratulations also to Saint Robert Lawrence House, who were crowned the overall winners of the EYFS and KS1 Sports Day! 🏆

A huge thank you to our Year 6 pupils for helping to run the carousel activities and for being such wonderful role models, encouraging and cheering on the younger children throughout the day.

Thank you also to all of our parents and families for attending and supporting the children. It was wonderful to see so many people there, and it really highlighted what a fantastic school community we have.

We are incredibly proud of all of our children for their effort, resilience and team spirit throughout the day.

🏅 District Sports 🏅

What a fantastic day at District Sports this week! Our children represented The Priory brilliantly and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the event. It was wonderful to see them cheering each other on, encouraging their teammates and giving their very best in every event. We had lots of children placing in the top 3 of their heats and some to go on to finals!! A huge thank you to all of our parents for allowing your child to take part.

We are incredibly proud of every child who took part with such determination, resilience and team spirit. Well done everyone 🌟

Our now flourishing meadow grassland with newly planted native trees is something the eco children are very passionate and proud of. We had so much fun identifying all the species of grasses, wildflowers and insects. These green spaces if left to grow become invaluable to wildlife and our environment. The children are really enjoying checking and watering the trees that they planted and seeing how they are supporting biodiversity. Amazing 🌍🐞🌻🐝🦋🌺 Mrs Mucha & Miss Evans are so proud.

🎸🎸We had the best time rocking out with Aaron from Rock Steady in an assembly this morning and then a KS2 and KS1 workshop afterwards!! The children behaved amazingly and it was absolutely fantastic to see them participate in singing, learning about the instruments and seeing some of the children playing in a band! You may even spot some of the teachers too.
