Christ the King is a living faith community inspired by the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Academy’s ethos and mission are rooted in the traditions of the Catholic faith where we strongly believe that every child should be nurtured and cared for according to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, the Christ the King community works in close partnership with four parishes to ensure that the links between the Catholic Church and our Academy remain strong. On October 1st

We recently invited students from CTK and our partner schools to design a new Oscar Romero Hub logo. With so many fantastic entries, selecting just one winner was no easy task, so we decided to combine ideas from across the submissions to create a logo inspired by the students who entered.

A huge congratulations to Erin and Lianna, whose designs were chosen as part of the winning entries! Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their creativity - we're proud to showcase a logo that reflects the talent and collaboration across the Oscar Romero Hub.

Missionary Discipleship is the call to share our faith with others. Missionary Discipleship reminds us that we must go out and share the love of Christ with others, to make the world a better place. Missionary Discipleship is a way of life that is full of joy and hope and in living our life in this way we can bring others to encounter Christ through us.

Find a way to put your faith into action this week to help others to Encounter Jesus

Huge congratulations to Year 9 student Lily, who is just one of 7 young artists from Sherwood Young Artists whose work was selected for the public "Art in Shops" exhibition currently being held as part of Sherwood Art Week.

Lily's beautiful sunflower piece is on display in the Nottinghamshire Hospice Shop, so make sure to take a look!

We're incredibly proud of Lily, and it's a fantastic achievement that her work is being recognised by the local community.

If you’d like to share an achievement or celebrate something wonderful your child has done, whether in sport, music, the arts, or anything else, we’d love to hear from you! Simply email [email protected]

Last week, CTK Sixth Form welcomed Andrew from Asset to discuss the R&BE Initiative – Register to be a Lifesaver. He discussed blood, stem cell and organ donation with students, and the importance registering and how easy it is to sign up.

We were also thrilled to receive an award in recognition of CTK’s support of R&BE over the years.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. The Eucharist is a powerful way in which we receive Jesus Christ into our hearts and are united with him as one body. The Eucharist is a source of strength and nourishment, and as we receive it, just as the disciples did at the Last Supper, we are reminded of God's love for us and of our call to love others.

Share a meal with the people you love this week.
