⚽💚 What a fantastic day!

On Saturday 20 June, staff, families and supporters came together for a 12-hour football match to raise money for our wellbeing and social inclusion initiative, MindGreen and support staff wellbeing.

The day was filled with great football, plenty of community spirit and fantastic support from everyone who came along to cheer on the players. 👏

A huge thank you to Eddy Taylor for helping to organise the event, and to Michael DePass and Alice Blades for baking some amazing cakes and organising the raffle. Your hard work helped make the day such a success! 🧁🎟️

Experiences like these help students build confidence and gain insight into what it's like to present their work professionally within the creative industries.

⚙️🚂 Our Engineering T Level students had a fantastic weekend at the Stoke Row Steam Rally near Pangbourne!

Students showcased examples of their work to members of the public, sharing their designs and talking about the projects they've been working on throughout the year. 👏

The event was extremely well attended and provided a brilliant opportunity for students to build their confidence, develop their communication skills and gain valuable experience engaging with the public. 💬✨

They even helped inspire the next generation by speaking to prospective students interested in joining us in September! 🚀

Well done to all the students involved for representing the College so brilliantly.

🎨✨ Creativity on display at Reading College and University Centre!

Yesterday, our Art and Design students welcomed friends and family to their annual Art Exhibition Private View, showcasing an incredible range of work created throughout the year.

From fine art and fashion to photography, architecture, games design, film and interior design, the exhibition celebrated the talent, creativity and hard work of students studying Visual Art and Design programmes from Level 1 through to Art Foundation.

The art classrooms have been transformed into a vibrant gallery space, and there's still time to visit!

There was a fantastic atmosphere across campus as visitors explored a wide range of courses, career pathways and opportunities to develop new skills, gain qualifications and achieve their goals. 🎓✨

Our knowledgeable staff were on hand throughout the event to offer advice, answer questions and share insights into the many ways Activate Learning can support adult learners and job seekers. 💬🙌

🏆🎉 Congratulations to our Engineering students on winning the REME Project Cup this year! 🎉🏆

We're incredibly proud of the team for their hard work, creativity and engineering skills in designing a new gun placement to fit on top of an armoured vehicle. 🚜⚙️

A special mention also goes to their teacher, Charishma Vipin Kumar, who went above and beyond to support and guide the students throughout the project. 👏

This achievement is a fantastic example of what can be accomplished through teamwork, innovation and dedication. Well done to everyone involved! 🙌
