Set in the pretty village of Kidmore End, 7-8 minutes from Caversham & Emmer Green, our school offers a varied curriculum in a caring learning environment.

We offer wraparound care, outdoor learning & many clubs. Kidmore End School first opened its doors in 1856 to eight pupils. We have grown over the years and we now accommodate 210 pupils in seven classes. In August 2017 we became an academy as part of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST). We are a successful school, deemed by Ofsted in 2011 to be outstanding. We provide a rich and varied acade

An incredible day at The Eyot Centre yesterday for our Year 6s. They displayed resilience and teamwork as they faced some fears and giggled and shouted their way up and down the river Thames. A fabulous and rather wet day!

It was so lovely to meet our new Reception 2026 parents and last night’s meeting. Thank you for coming!

This is a video our current Reception children have made for the new Cherry class pupils. They wanted to show what they love about coming to school 🥰

Cedar Class enjoyed a trip to Earth Trust to learn more about minibeasts! To begin with they used nets to catch minibeasts (including a beautiful dragonfly and many crickets) in the meadow then (after running down Round Hill) they went hunting for minibeasts in the woodland - finding a crested newt! After lunch they learnt all about pollinators - including doing a wiggle dance and collecting pretend nectar. Finally they ended the day with pond dipping, catching a baby newt, water snails and boatmen!
