⭐️Learning intent- Gender
Promotes Inclusivity: Celebrating diverse family structures and expressions helps children understand that every family is special, laying the groundwork for empathy and reducing future bullying.⭐️
🟠At group time we split the school leavers to practice tug of war for sports day and read a story and the others had a story too.
🔵Outside play- lots of digging for treasure and making sandcastles and using our scooters that have been donated to us
🟢we enjoyed home grown carrots at snack time from one of our friends garden

⭐️Learning intent- Talking about genders improves communication skills. Open discussions about gender identity and differences boost children’s vocabulary, helping them clearly articulate their thoughts, feelings, and individuality.⭐️
🟢 This morning we had a few daddies/grandads visit to show around.
🔵 lots of outside play exploring the sand and water.
🟠 At group time we spoke about family members and decided if they were a lady or a man.

⭐️Learning intent- Learning about genders in Early years fosters unrestricted play and development. Encouraging gender-neutral play allows children to engage in both nurturing and dynamic activities (e.g., playing with blocks, dolls, or dress-up). This builds a broader set of life skills and confidence.⭐️
🔵 In sports with Joe this morning we pretended we were bumble bees collecting honey and hiding from the bear. Incorporated by freezing, jumping and running.
🟢 At group time we shared our memories using the big screen.
🟠 we followed a recipe to make playdough.

Talking about gender in the early years prevents children's aspirations and behaviors from being limited by rigid stereotypes.⭐️
🟢Outside play - digging in the sandpit and playing with the water
🔵Group time we choose different objects out of the bag and guessed nursery rhymes to match
🔴we enjoyed playing with a big cardboard box from one of our deliveries
🟠Drawing faces and talking about what we have on our faces

⭐️ learning intent- Independence.
Managing personal needs.Children will recognise routines that support self care and hygiene.We discuss handwashing toileting blowing noses and asking for help appropriately⭐️
🟢 In the garden we used wooden planks and blocks to build an obstacle course and practice balancing.
🔵 At group time the older children played ‘Kirsty says’ and listened to the penguin song. The younger children shared show and tell.
🟠 Lots of structures being built using magnetic tiles.

⭐️ Learning Intent - Independence skills
Problem solving and confidence building children will develop confidence on trying new things independently and solving problems ⭐️
🔵 sports day practice for the older children at group time and we took turns choosing items out of the bag to sing nursery rhymes.
🟠 Outside we collected leaves to look after the insects we found.
🟢 playing spotty dog and practising our counting.

🔵Sports class we practised jumping or stepping over tall cones, kicking balls and two handed tasks for fine motor skills
🔴Made blue playdough with following ingredients

⭐️ Learning intent - independence. We promote independence in early years to help with responsibility and self- confidence. ⭐️
🟠 Outside we used our gross motor skills to ride the bikes and scooters around the track.
🟢 Cutting and snipping paper with the scissors at the mark making area
🔵 At group time we discussed the importance of looking after our belongings and played a game where we removed an object and tried to guess what had been taken.

Promotes Healthy Habits: Reinforces crucial well-being concepts such as safe stacking, identifying hazards, and understanding physical boundaries during play.⭐️
🔵 At group time we shared our show and tell to our friends and answered questions from the teachers and peers
🔴 Lots of playing with the playdough making cakes and different shapes using the cutters
🟢 Drawing and working together to create colourful cardboard boxes.
🟠 Outside we played hopscotch and mixed ingredients in the sensory kitchen.
