Trees cool spaces. Through a mix of shade, evaporation and physics; they are nature’s air‑conditioning system. Trees block sunlight, release water vapour and reduce heat stored in buildings and pavements. The combined effect can drop local temperatures by 2–8°C, sometimes even more in dense urban areas.
Maybe the recent weather is trying to tell us something, we should be planting more trees.
We have an extensive range of mature and semi-mature trees. Deciduous and evergreen varieties available.

We followed the coverage of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show last month with real enthusiasm, eager to see which styles would take centre stage. This year’s themes felt especially inspiring; forward‑thinking, imaginative, and refreshingly accessible. A few ideas stood out in particular this year: a strong emphasis on drought‑tolerant planting, prairie‑style borders (pictured) and wildlife‑friendly spaces. If you would like an garden fit for RHS Chelsea then our Consultancy Service is a great starting point. For more information call us on 0118 934 1757.

If you are looking for a climber, why not try something a little bit different. Solanum jasminoides 'Bleu' (Potato vine) is a fast-growing woody climber reaching up to 8 metres. It has green, semi-evergreen leaves and delicate baby blue, flowers in clusters through late summer into autumn. We think it's rather special.
Grow in full sun in moist but well–drained soil.

Sorbus ulleungensis ‘Olympic Flame’ (rowan) is a small, ornamental tree with strong wildlife value. It tolerates urban pollution well, making it an excellent choice for smaller or built-up spaces. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and features glossy green foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season, before turning striking shades of fiery orange and red in autumn. In autumn, it produces abundant berries that are highly attractive to birds. A popular choice for smaller, urban gardens.
