Last week, our Year 8 pupils completed their annual Camping Trip, taking on an impressive 37km of hiking over two days! 🥾⛺
After setting up camp at Big Side, pupils enjoyed a BBQ, campfire, and karaoke before tackling a scenic second-day route back to College via the Thames.
A huge congratulations to all the pupils for their resilience, teamwork, and determination on our longest-ever Dunbar Camping Trip hike. Excellent preparation for their Bronze DofE adventures next year! 👏

Last Friday, our Shanghai pupils took part in a public speaking competition, delivering presentations on topics ranging from cultural differences to life beyond the screen👀✨
Our judges consisted of the Head, Gracie from Ultra Education, Shane from U Link and Sean Taylor, Former High Sheriff of Berkshire. They were all incredibly impressed by the confidence, creativity, and language skills on display, making it a very difficult decision to choose a winner🏆
Congratulations to all the pupils on their fantastic achievements this term at Pangbourne. We hope you enjoy your final two weeks with us! 👏🎤✨

Last week, Year 8 spent their geography lesson outside where they investigated infiltration by pouring water onto different surfaces, including grass and concrete, and measuring how quickly the water was absorbed.🍃💦
Learning outdoors brings many benefits, helping students to engage more actively with their surroundings and make stronger connections between classroom theory and real life environments. We are fortunate that our campus has such extensive grounds and outdoor spaces, which provide fantastic opportunities to bring learning to life and enrich students’ education beyond the classroom🌳😊

On Wednesday and Thursday, groups of our Lower Sixth pupils went to Englefield Estate’s annual Schools Days🤝🍃
This two day event welcomes thousands of children and features over 25 activities and demonstrations. This included teaching them how to measure the vertical height and circumference of trees, as well as sharing interesting facts - such as the circumference of the widest tree in the world🌳
The sessions were designed to be both educational and enjoyable, incorporating movement, teamwork, and a lot of energy to keep children engaged. This was a great opportunity for our students to work in teams and lead an educational session with children from local primary schools.
Thank you for having us!✨

Proud of our heritage. Ambitious for the future. 💫
As we approach our 110th anniversary, Pangbourne College is taking an exciting step forward by joining the Mill Hill Education Group in a charitable merger designed to create even greater opportunities for our pupils, staff and wider community.
Importantly, Pangbourne will remain proudly Pangbourne – retaining the distinctive identity, traditions, adventurous spirit and close-knit community that have defined the College for generations.
Through this charitable merger, our pupils and staff will benefit from enhanced opportunities for collaboration, leadership development, enrichment programmes and shared expertise, while continuing to enjoy the exceptional educational experience that makes Pangbourne so special.
This is not about changing who we are; it is about building on our strengths and embracing new opportunities from a position of confidence and ambition.
The best of Pangbourne. Even greater opportunities ahead.
