New Town Primary School

A second fantastic day at camp has come to an end. Happy hearts, fresh air, tired legs and wonderful memories made with friends. 💜💚

We've had a great first day at camp. Once we arrived and set up our tents, we explored the site and got used to our surroundings. After fun sweeping the field for insects and learning about the bees, we enjoyed our lunch then went off to the river with our teddy bear rafts. We had a great time in our waders trying to catch things with our nets. We caught several fish and other interesting creatures. Back at camp we enjoyed some free time in the field then had a delicious dinner where nearly everyone asked for seconds!
Later on we played some team games and then had hot chocolate in the barn. We've all finished the day in good spirits. Everyone is in their tents now settling down for a good night's sleep before an action packed day tomorrow.

The revision is done, the classrooms are ready and breakfast is laid out for our traditional shared feast of beans-on-toast early tomorrow morning..... We wish you every luck in the world Year Six, but don't forget, exams will never measure all the incredible things you've grown to be. 💚💜

We're delighted to welcome our newest families to our school, beginning their learning at New Town in September 2026! We can't wait to meet you all very soon. 💚💜
