Ahead of Fatherโs Day this weekend, today we welcomed our preschool Dads at Jubilee Day Nursery to our Dads & Donuts Afternoon! ๐ฉโ๏ธ
We enjoyed delicious donuts and refreshing squash in the sunshine, showed off our beautiful sensory garden, and had lots of fun playing games together. ๐
We canโt wait to do it all again with our preschool children at GEMS next week!

๐นโจ Rose Petal Potions at the Streamโจ๐น
We headed down to the stream with our roses as part of our Little Sparkles hygge theme for the week. The children enjoyed pulling off the petals and using their imaginations to create their very own magical petal potions ๐ฟ๐ง
Such a lovely, calming activity full of creativity and exploration.

๐ฆ Today is Butterfly Education and Awareness Day! ๐ฆ
We've had such a wonderful time over the past few weeks watching our caterpillars transform, hatch into beautiful butterflies, and finally take flight as we released them into our outdoor spaces.
This hands-on experience has been a fantastic way to learn about life cycles, nature, and the importance of protecting these amazing pollinators.
Take a look at the link below where we've shared a link to our most-loved butterfly resources including Yellow Door Education and Insect Lore ๐ฆ๐

Today we put on our waterproofs and headed out into the sensory garden to collect herbs and rose petals ๐ฟ๐ธ for our scented tea party.
With the smell of fresh rain, scented water and lots of tipping and pouring, it was a lovely hands-on morning of learning through play

We love spending time in our atelier and outdoor spaces for creative activities ๐จ๐ฟ
These inspiring environments encourage children to explore, create, and express their ideas freely.
We enjoy bringing together children of a variety of different ages, giving them opportunities to interact, collaborate, and support one another through large-scale creative activities ๐

๐๐ผ World Bee Day at Jubilee!
Today we had the best time celebrating World Bee Day! We were so excited to spot lots of busy bees buzzing around our gardens, hard at work collecting pollen ๐ฟ๐
The children loved observing them and learning about the important role bees play in helping our environment and plants to grow. A wonderful day of outdoor learning and discovery! ๐ธ
๐ Fun Bee Fact: Did you know a single bee can visit up to 2,000 flowers in one day while collecting nectar and pollen? ๐ผ

Weโve been having lots of fun adding the bugs sensory play stones into our play from Yellow Door Education ๐๐๐
The children loved hiding them under sticks, leaves and plant pots, then heading off around the garden to see if they could find real bugs to match the ones on their stones. It was such an exciting little adventure!
They were so proud to successfully spot an ant, a snail, and even a ladybird hiding on one of the roses ๐นโจ
A lovely way to explore, learn, and enjoy the outdoors together ๐

We have introduced you to Bella already, but just look how much sheโs grown ๐๐
Sheโs still just as friendly as ever โ her absolute favourite thing is a good back rub! When sheโs not soaking up the attention, youโll find her happily running around the field with her brothers and sisters.
The children have absolutely loved going to visit her and her friends.

From the moment our caterpillars arrived, we have been carefully observing their incredible journey. The children have loved watching them change through each stage of their life cycle, from tiny caterpillars to chrysalises, and finally emerging as beautiful butterflies ๐๐ฆ
To support our learning, we used our sensory stone butterfly set from Yellow Door Education to explore different colours, patterns, and varieties. This helped the children to recognise and talk about the butterflies we saw when it was time to release them.
It was a magical experience for everyone, sparking curiosity, wonder, and a real appreciation for the natural world ๐ฟโจ
