🏔️ "When the mountain seems too steep to climb..." - lyrics from one of our favourite Russell House songs. We could not have done it without the overwhelming support of the Russell House and wider community, whose encouragement powered us up to the summit and whose generosity helped us achieve our fundraising goals. Between our Tour de Kent Cyclathon in January and our Ben Nevis Endurance Challenge, we are so proud of having reached and exceeded our fundraising target for Demelza Charity! Bonjour from Russell House! 🇫🇷 Berets on, baguettes out and an array of French activities and lessons to participate in - the day was *magnifique* from start to finish. There is something truly special about bringing a language to life and, judging by the smiles, we think the children rather enjoyed it.

🌳🏕️⭐🍔 Who doesn’t love a camp out under the stars? Especially with a delicious barbecue and fire-roasted marshmallows on offer! Form 4 enjoyed their first Russell House camp out on the Paddock and took part in some exciting team challenges and games.

A donut well earned! On Wednesday, the children brought in donations for our Demelza Charity fundraising pot and were rewarded with something sweet in return. A special mention of our Head Girl, whose initiative this was, for leading by example and making giving feel fun. Every penny is building towards this weekend, when the team take on the Ben Nevis Endurance Challenge for this incredible charity.

It's School Council Hustings week and our candidates have delivered excellent campaign speeches to the electorate today. Posters are appearing across Russell House and voters are posing their questions to the House Captain, Head Boy and Head Girl hopefuls. We wish all the candidates the best of luck for their campaigning this week, ahead of votes closing on Friday.
