Student Spotlight ⭐

A huge congratulations to Hart in Year 9 on an outstanding achievement in Portugal!

Competing at an international boxing tournament, Hart claimed gold in the 43kg category, winning all three of his bouts. He secured stoppage victories in both the quarter-final and semi-final before producing an impressive performance in the final, earning a unanimous points decision from all three judges.

To be crowned champion in his weight category and recognised as the best boxer in Portugal at 43kg is a remarkable accomplishment.

We are incredibly proud of Hart and look forward to hearing about his future successes. 🥊 👏🥇🇵🇹

UPDATE RE: HOT WEATHER

As we continue to monitor this spell of extreme heat, from tomorrow, we will be encouraging all students to wear their Hurstmere PE kit until the end of the week. We also ask that your son brings a water bottle and a spare into school to ensure that he is able to remain hydrated. There will be opportunities throughout the day to refill them.

Please ensure your son brings in a bag, with all of his equipment.

We will continue to monitor the situation carefully particularly around the expected peak on Wednesday afternoon and will notify you should we be required to make adaptations to the end of the school day.

Reminder to parents - Today Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June there will be a pre-loved uniform sale at the end of the school day between 3pm - 5pm in Reception.

More geography fieldwork data collection this morning and afternoon at Herne Bay. Students investigated the direction of longshore drift. A sunny and breezy day with fish and chips and ice cream to finish ☀️

A fantastic afternoon for Years 7–10 enjoying our inflatable reward event!

A well-deserved opportunity to relax, have fun with friends and celebrate the hard work, effort and positive contributions shown throughout the year.
