Massive congratulations to Bethany for passing her driving test after conquering her nerves!!
Only 3 driver faults!! π π
I canβt tell you how much Bethany worked herself up when it came to a driving test. Floods of tears on route to the test centre!! Physically shaking with fear!!
itβs a good job Iβm funny π€£ (or try to be) and I did the trick by calming her down and kept talking to keep her mind occupied!! And reminded her that she was a wheelie Good driver!!
The main thing is to just be yourself itβs nothing to over worry about donβt worry about things you canβt control. Remember to breathe π§ youβve got this!!
πPass no.199!! π 1 to go hit 200!!

π How to Parallel Park: Step-by-Step Guide
1. Initial Positioning
- Pull up on the left side of the target vehicle.
- Maintain roughly an arm's width of space between your car and the other vehicle.
- Ensure you are parallel to the car and your wheels are straight when you stop.
- Action: Keep your foot on the brake and shift into reverse gear immediately to signal your intent to drivers behind you.
2. The Seven-Point Safety Check
Before moving, perform a full observation check in this order:
1. Left shoulder (blind spot)
2. Left door mirror
3. Interior (top) mirror
4. Center windscreen
5. Right door mirror
6. Right shoulder (check for "Bob the Biker")
3. Setting the Angle
- Reverse back until you can see the pavement through your passenger side window (just behind the target car).
- Stop the vehicle.
- Adjust your left door mirror down so you can see both the pavement and the road.
- Perform another seven-point check (from right shoulder to left).
- Rotate the steering wheel one full turn toward the passenger side.
- Slowly reverse until the car is at a 1 o'clock angle.
- Stop and rotate the steering wheel back toward the driver's side to straighten the wheels.
4. The Final Approach
- Reverse straight until roughly three-quarters of your door handle appears above the curb in the mirror.
- Note: Always perform shoulder observations while the car is stationary.
- Turn the steering wheel toward the driver's side as far as it will go (full lock).
- Reverse "like a tortoise" (very slowly).
- Watch the side mirror; just before the bodywork of your car becomes parallel with the curb, turn the wheel back toward the passenger side to straighten the wheels.
5. Finishing the Maneuver
- Reverse straight back until you can see "tires and tarmac" of the car in front.
- Constraint: Do not exceed two car lengths of total distance.
- Apply the handbrake and shift to neutral.
- Reset your side mirror to the normal driving position.
Test Tip: Shift into reverse quickly so following traffic knows you are maneuvering; failing to do so can cause a road hindrance and result in a test failure.
