Reception and Form One enjoyed a fantastic day at Pink Mead Equestrian Centre, where they had the full equine experience - riding and learning how to care for the horses.

We are so proud of the pupils for the courage they showed in the saddle and the gentleness towards all of the horses in the yard.

Thank you for welcoming us.

In Wellbeing and Craft Club, the children used strips of coloured paper to make paper woven fish.

They used felt tip pens to add patterns and other materials to decorate their masterpieces. 🐟🐠

In Wellbeing and Make It Club, the children set to work transforming milk bottles into ‘Elmers’.
Carefully sticking on squares of colourful tissue paper to replicate the iconic patchwork elephant.

Form 2 enjoyed a geography field trip to the Hamble River. En route, they spotted plenty of human geography as they travelled through Portswood and along the M27. Luckily they dodged a short shower while sketching the physical geography from the river shore and were excited to see the famous Pink Ferry in action.

Next, they visited Pickwell Farm Shop, where they saw land used to grow food and picked some rhubarb to take back and taste.

In DT, they have been learning about where food comes from, and they enjoyed reading labels on food and finding out where they had been imported from.

They bought locally grown Hampshire strawberries, which they enjoyed back at school. What a treat! 🍓
