4SK spent the afternoon exploring how we can see and feel the effects of sound and its vibrations. 📳

The classroom was buzzing - literally! What a fun, hands on afternoon of learning. 🧠✨

🌞🌡️Heatwave update - Temporary changes for next week

Due to the heatwave expected next week, and to help ensure that staff and children remain comfortable, we will be making a temporary adjustment to our uniform expectations.

For the whole of next week:
👕Children may wear their PE kit if they wish

👔If children choose not to wear their PE kit, they may attend school without ties or blazers

💧☀️Staying safe in the heat:

To keep everyone safe and well during the hot weather, please ensure your child:
✅brings a refillable water bottle every day
✅wears a sun hat / cap
✅applies and / or brings sun cream as appropriate

We will review the situation on Friday afternoon and provide an update if any further changes are needed, so please keep an eye on our communications.

What a fantastic week Year 6 have had! We are so incredibly proud of how hard they have worked, embracing the differing activities throughout the week.

What an incredible day out for our school choir yesterday! 🎶🏆

The children loved watching the brilliant Hallé Orchestra perform a high-energy World Cup-themed concert at the Victoria Hall. Spot the smiling faces in our photos! 📸⚽️

Year 3 had so much fun in their very first ukulele lesson with Mr Walker today. The children loved every minute and were totally fab! We can't wait to hear how their skills grow over the coming weeks. 🎼👏

What a great day Year 6 had exploring different careers! 💼✨

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to talk about their professions. This event truly couldn’t have happened without your support and inspiration. 🙌

🌟 Year 6 Enterprise Challenge! 🌟

This week, Year 6 have been putting their creativity, teamwork and business skills to the test as they took part in an exciting enterprise challenge!

Working in teams, the children were tasked with designing a brand-new picnic box aimed at children. They had to think carefully about the contents of their box, including healthy food choices, packaging, branding, advertising and sustainability. The challenge also encouraged them to consider customer preferences, recyclable materials and how to make their product stand out from the competition.

The children worked brilliantly together, sharing ideas, solving problems and creating some fantastic designs. We were particularly impressed by the imaginative mascots, colourful packaging and thoughtful explanations behind their choices.

The finished picnic boxes looked amazing and demonstrated just how creative and innovative Year 6 can be. Well done to everyone involved – you should be very proud of your hard work! 👏🌟
