π¦π¦Ί Safety Week at Seesaws Day Nursery π¦Ίπ¦
As part of Safety Week, our Preschool and Rising Threes children enjoyed a walk in the local community to learn all about road safety.
The children practised stopping, looking and listening, learnt about traffic lights and talked about the safest places to cross the road. Our staff supported the children in developing their understanding of how to stay safe when out and about.
We also had lots of fun singing and dancing to road safety songs, including our favourite, Twinkle, Twinkle Traffic Light! πΆπ¦
What a fantastic way to learn important life skills while exploring the world around us. Well done, everyone! π

π±π Seesaws Seedlings have really been enjoying our new book, Maya and Marley and the New Friend.
As we've been exploring the story together, we've been taking a closer look at the garden featured in the book and noticing some similarities with our own! We are also growing "crunchy cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, and yummy-in-my-tummy strawberries" in our garden. π
π₯π
The children have loved making connections between the story and their real-life gardening experiences, helping to bring the book to life while supporting their understanding of how things grow.

π¦πΆ Safety Week in our 0-2's Room πΆπ¦
Our little ones have been very busy taking part in Safety Week!
The 0-2's enjoyed listening and dancing to safety songs, creating their own colourful traffic light pictures, and exploring a fun safety-themed tuff tray. π¦π¨
We also had some very caring little doctors on duty, looking after their patients and making sure everyone was safe and well! π©Ίπ We think there may be a few future doctors and nurses in the making!
Who knew learning about safety could be so much fun? Our 0-2's explored, played, sang, and created while building their understanding of the world around them. π
Well done, 0-2's Room! We are so proud of all your hard work (and excellent doctoring skills!) ππ

β½οΈ Did somebody say there's football on? β½
We've been celebrating the World Cup at Chester Road by decorating flags, learning about countries from around the world and showing off our football skills! β½
The children have been scoring some fantastic goals... the staff, however, may need a little more practice! π
We've loved exploring the different countries taking part in the tournament and learning about the flags, colours and cultures that make each one unique.
Today, lots of our children and staff are wearing their England shirts for the big match, but we'll be celebrating all the teams taking part in this year's World Cup.
Good luck to everyone playing! β½π

π« Jam Jars Needed for Nursery Crafts π«
We are looking for clean, empty jam jars to use for some exciting craft activities with the children at nursery.
If you have any spare jam jars at home, we would be very grateful if you could bring them in. Please ensure they are thoroughly washed and any labels removed where possible.
Thank you for your continued support β the children love creating with recycled materials and your donations help us provide lots of fun learning opportunities!
Many thanks,
The Seesaws Team π

π»π± Seesaws Seedlings have been busy in Gardening Club today! The children planted some Teddy Sunflowers and Nasturtiums and also helped with a little ground maintenance by doing some weeding.
It's fair to say that Gardening Club is well underway, and we can't wait to watch everything grow over the coming weeks! πΏπ
