Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare are proud to announce a new sponsorship partnership with Birmingham Rebels Basketball Club for the 2026/27 season and beyond.

Founded in 2023, Birmingham Rebels has quickly established itself as one of the Midlands' most successful senior basketball clubs, providing a competitive and inclusive environment for players aged 18 and over from a wide range of social, cultural and economic backgrounds.

The sponsorship will help support the club as it continues to compete across multiple leagues throughout the region, helping to offset the increasing costs associated with facilities, equipment, officiating and league participation.

At Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairway Healthcare, we are committed to investing in local communities, supporting wellbeing and creating opportunities for people to reach their full potential. Supporting grassroots sport aligns closely with our values and our wider approach to community engagement.

We are excited to work alongside Birmingham Rebels as they continue their impressive journey and look forward to seeing what the club can achieve during the 2026/27 season.

Good luck to everyone involved for the season ahead!

Every learner has a story, and we’re proud to be part of the journey.

For Anumudu, training with Embark Learning helped build the skills and confidence to start a career in care, while also supporting his personal life at home.

Since completing the course, he’s gaining hands-on experience across care settings with Fairway Healthcare and continuing to grow, develop, and progress within the sector.

Thank you for sharing your journey, Anumudu — we look forward to what’s next.

For Carers Week, we want to take a moment to recognise the amazing people working in care and the difference they make every single day. 💙

Jane Barron has spent 34 years caring for others, including supporting her husband through his battle with cancer. When she first came to Embark, she was struggling with stress and anxiety and admits it was hard to even get out of bed some days.

Within a few days on the course, things started to change. Jane spoke about how supportive and welcoming the staff were, and how much the experience helped rebuild her confidence.

Since then, Jane has gone on to work with Fairway Healthcare and secured a full-time role within a care home.

Jane’s story is a reminder that carers need support too, and that sometimes the right people and the right opportunity can make all the difference.

To all carers, thank you for everything you do. 💙

Creating opportunities. Delivering impact.

During May, 301 Embark learners working through Fairway Healthcare delivered 21,743 hours of care and support across our communities.

Every hour represents a trained care professional making a positive difference in someone's life.

We're proud to see our learners putting their skills into practice and creating real impact every day.

Great to visit The King’s Trust and speak with young people about opportunities within the Health and Social Care sector.

It was fantastic to share insights into career pathways, training, and the support available to help individuals take their next steps into employment and development.

Following the presentation, we had the opportunity to speak directly with attendees, answer questions, and have some really positive conversations about future opportunities.

Thank you to The King’s Trust for having us. The King's Trust
