Smart Start Day Nursery

The children and staff came to nursery dressed in their England football kits to support England as they play football ⚽️ today.

The children in Rainbows visited Perry Barr Community Fire Station to look at the fire engines before working together as a team to paint their own fire engine using a cardboard box. They also role played being a firefighter by using a spray bottle of water to put the fire out.

As part of our weekly project about fire engines and the people who help us, this morning Perry Barr Fire Station visited the nursery. The children really enjoyed seeing the fire engine, using the hose pipes, and sitting inside the fire engine. All of the children had a lovely time and were very excited to learn about the important work firefighters do.

The children in nursery took part in collecting rubbish as part of their Earth Day activities. Some children also baked cookies to celebrate the occasion. They talked about the importance of keeping the planet clean and learned about recycling different materials.

This morning, all the children enjoyed their music lesson in the garden with Sarah, the music teacher. The sun was shining brightly, and the children had a wonderful time dancing and singing along with Sarah while exploring different instruments.

We had a very special visitor at nursery today—Moana, all the way from the Island of Motunui! The children had a wonderful time singing and dancing with her. 🌺🎶

Children in the baby unit had a wonderful time during the Easter egg hunt and were excited to see the Easter Bunny visiting the unit.”

This afternoon we held our Easter bonnet parade. All the children made their bonnets at home with the help of their parents – they were absolutely wonderful!

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.
