Hillary Primary School is a Local Authority school. We celebrate diverse completeness. We thrive in our uniqueness.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following the issue of a Red Weather Warning, Forge Brook Trust has made the difficult decision to close Hillary Primary School and all schools within the trust on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, (24th and 25th June.)

This decision has been made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, staff, and families. We appreciate that school closures can be disruptive, and we would like to reassure you that this decision has not been taken lightly. After careful consideration of the forecast and the potential risks associated with the severe weather conditions, we believe that closing the school is the most responsible course of action.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and assess any updated weather information as it becomes available. We will provide an update regarding arrangements for Friday as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. We encourage everyone to follow the advice of local authorities and take appropriate precautions to stay safe.

Kind regards,
Mrs Taylor

๐ŸŒŸโœจ Inspiring Our Future! โœจ๐ŸŒŸ

Tomorrow at Hillary Primary School, our children will have the exciting opportunity to meet professionals from a range of incredible careers and begin to imagine the possibilities for their own futures.

From a lecturer, doctor, hairdresser, paramedic, celebrant, chef and police officer, our pupils will discover that there are so many different paths they can take and that every dream is worth pursuing.

At Hillary Primary, we believe itโ€™s never too early to encourage children to dream big, work hard and believe in themselves. By meeting inspiring role models, our children can see that with determination, curiosity and ambition, they can achieve amazing things.

๐ŸŒˆ We want every child to know:
โญ Your dreams matter.
โญ Your future is full of possibilities.
โญ You can be whatever you aspire to be.
Tomorrowโ€™s Careers Event is all about planting seeds of inspiration that we hope will grow for years to come.

If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

Nursery have been enjoying their PE lessonsโšฝ๏ธ

This week we have been learning how to throw and catch beanbags with our friends!

PE is an important part of the Early years curriculum. It goes beyond sports; focuses on fundamental movement skills, imaginative play and natural physical development. It lays the groundwork for lifelong healthy habits, spatial awareness, core strength, coordination, and emotional well-being๐Ÿ‘

We enjoy our warm up and cool down sessions which are just as important as the actual exercises we do!

๐Ÿ”ฌโœจ Year 3โ€™s Amazing Science Adventure! โœจ๐Ÿ”ฌ

Year 3 had a fantastic day at the science museum, where they explored the fascinating world of light and shadow. Throughout the visit, the children showed excellent behaviour, curiosity, and enthusiasm as they discovered new scientific concepts and took part in an engaging interactive show.

The excitement continued in the Science Garden, where they enjoyed a range of fun, hands-on physical activities. It was a wonderful day full of learning, exploration, and memorable experiences.

Well done, Year 3 - you were a credit to the school! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘
