🦋 The Butterfly Life Cycle 🦋

This week, our Early Years children have been exploring the life cycle of a butterfly through stories, nature hunts, creative art and imaginative play in the forest. 🌿

Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children learned about each stage of the butterfly’s journey, created beautiful butterfly artwork using leaves and paint, and fluttered through the woodland with their own butterfly wings!

A wonderful week of learning, creativity and outdoor adventure. 🐛➡️🦋

Following our theme of spring this term, our Early Years forest schoolers have been buzzing into the wonderful world of bees! 🐝🌼

This week we explored the importance of bees in nature, discovered the fascinating bee lifecycle, and enjoyed the beautiful story Little Bee 📚🍯

The children loved exploring our bee hive setup, creating swarms of bees, and learning the bee waggle dance! 💛

A lovely mix of storytelling, sensory play and outdoor learning in the sunshine 🌿☀️
