Our year 2 Adepitan class got to use our brand new musical instruments today. They were composing music based on emotions. A BIG thank you to Friends of Kingshill who funded the instruments.

Year two have been creating a masterpiece inspired by Monet.

Thank you to Friends of Kingshill who organised the event, and to all the parents, carers and family members who have sponsored the children. The children absolutely loved it and whats more we have raised money for our school.

Mrs Fishburn's RWI group had an unexpected visitor this morning! They collected clues and believe it might be the martian from the book 'The Way Back Home'. The children were so excited and have been inspired to write about it tomorrow.

Yesterday, during World Book Day Rosen class read the Jolly Postman. We wanted to share the wonderful maps they created for the Postman to deliver his letters.

Kingshill welcomed SCARF in this week. SCARF supports primary schools in promoting positive behaviour, mental health, wellbeing, resilience and achievement. The children have loved meeting Harold the giraffe and hearing about his friends.

A HUGE thank you to Friends of Kingshill and all of those who came along to the quiz on Friday night. FKS raised over £700, the most we have raised for a quiz before. Parents and staff had a great night!

In D&T this week year 2 have been learning about the components of a car; including the axle, axle holder and chassis. They made the cars, gave them a wonderful design and then raced them outside.
