Exciting news. The date for our annual competition.

We are fast approaching the English Shotokan Karate Association annual championships.
With new categories to enter and a new kumite category for Red Belts, this year we expect a record number of entries.

It is not long now until our annual association Championships. If you haven't signed up yet then please see one of your instructors for details. It is going to be a brilliant day. Time is running out to sign up and be part of it.

The ESKA June Kyu grading takes part tomorrow Sunday 16th June.

ESKA gradings are always a fantastic event, where students come along to demonstrate the skills they have learnt over the last 3 months.

This particular grading will be a poignant one, where the association will pay tribute to our Chief Instructor Sensei Nursey who sadly passed recently.

Sensei created a very inclusive association and as such we would like to see all students take part in our special tribute. Therefore we are requesting all students arrive for 9:45 for a 10am sharp start regardless of your normal grading start time.

Sensei Nursey 9th Dan (1949-2024)

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Sensei Mike Nursey, ESKA Chief Instructor.

A tragic loss for us all and our thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.
