Well that was a windy one 🍃🌬️ Our first weekday walk of 2026 was on Thursday and the weather certainly got us moving 👟 A busy day, meant we had lots to talk about about as we briskly walked through the town.
No steps counted tonight but nice to chat and have a little bit of exercise for 40 minutes, to get us warmed up ready our future walks.... What will spring bring for the Partou Walking Crew? 🌸🪻

We’re very lucky to have a team of wonderful, inspiring, intelligent, kind, strong ladies who work here at the nursery. The team support each other to be the best versions of themselves, they keep each other smiling and laughing on a daily basis and are inspirational ladies with all life throws at them. We thank them for all their continued hard work, dedication, support, kindness, smiles and passion for creating the nursery into the environment it is for each other and our families.

Wow! What a difference a year makes 💫🎉
As we close the doors for the last time in 2025 we would like to reflect on the past year….
We have had charity fundraising days, parties and celebrations, we’ve said goodbye and good luck to some wonderful staff members who we hope have found happiness in their new adventures, we have said hello to new members of the team and happily promoted a new kindergarten room leader. We’ve said hello to new families and goodbye to our pre-schoolers, wishing them the best in their next adventure. Staff have gained qualifications, developed their professional knowledge through training evenings and have walked and talked through the streets of ware! We have new menus in place for the whole nursery and have introduced mystery reader for the children which they have loved. Most importantly we have a had a year full of fun, smiles, laughter and whole lot of love ❤️
As always, none of the above would be possible without our wonderful families. You and your children are the reason we do what we do. Your kind words, messages and support means so much to us all. We are so grateful you are part of the Partou family and we feel privileged to be part of your children’s early years. The children we look after are all incredible and seeing their smiley faces each day brings joy to us all. They make us feel so proud in all they achieve. We look forward to another fantastic year with you all, full of learning and lots of fun 😊
As well as our families we can’t forget our phenomenal staff team…wow how lucky are we to have you all part of Partou Ware! Each and every one of our staff ensure the children are always kept safe and having fun, they promote their independence, teach wonderful things about the world, support their interests and what they love to do, engage them in fantastic provocations and so much more. The senior team would like to thank you all for being part of our fantastic setting, for going above and beyond on a daily basis, for providing the very best environment for the next generation, for supporting each other, us and our families and for being such amazing, helpful, supportive, kindhearted, thoughtful, caring people - we’re so very lucky to have you as part of our team and we appreciate you. None of it would be possible without all of you. All we can say is a very big thank you ♥️

Today some of the staff took part in a Paediatric First Aid course, refreshing their knowledge on CPR, choking, dressing wounds, allergic reactions and much more ⛑️
Thank you to the team for giving up their time on a Saturday and to Des, at Dark Peak Safety Training for giving our staff the knowledge to confidently deal with any first aid situation that may occur 😊

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness 🎀
“Supporting the fighters, Admiring the Survivors and Remembering the Angels”
On Thursday and Friday last week, we held a cake sale for Breast Cancer Awareness. This is a cause very close to our hearts here at the nursery, it is something many of us feel passionate for and something that we like to raise money and awareness about.
So far we have raised £353.65p from our cake sale and for coming into nursery dressed in pink….we thank all our wonderful staff and families for contributing and helping us raise so much money ☺️
We encourage you all to make sure you check yourselves regularly - early detection can save lives 🎀🩷💗

A quick little march for the four of us tonight. 🌳🌙 These dark nights are preparing us for the winter ahead but it was lovely out and we encountered many people doing the same thing as us.
Moving our bodies, walking and talking is always a positive way to end our day ☺️
This leads us perfectly into World Mental Health Day tomorrow, when staff and children at the nursery are invited to wear Yellow 💛 to raise awareness and support everybody's emotional health.

We're really proud to say hooray to Jay, who has recently passed her Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
A valued member of the team, Jay has spent time with a number of different ages groups but she will always say how settled she feels within our Baby Room.
Jay welcomes the children each day and works very hard to give them the best experiences.
A caring and kind person, who loves building a rapport with families too! Jay takes her key person role very seriously and tries her best for all of the children in her care.
From all of us Jay, well done! 😊👏🏻

Exploring Rainbows – A Colourful Outdoor and Creative Experience 🌈
Recently, the Pre-School children had a wonderful opportunity to observe a rainbow! While playing outside during a brief spell of sunshine and rain, the children noticed a rainbow appear in the sky. This sparked a discussion about how rainbows are formed, with many children sharing their thoughts and learning that rainbows occur when sunlight passes through rain, causing the light to blend and reflect to show the colours in the sky.
Building on their curiosity and interest, the children took part in creative activities to make their own rainbows. First, they used paintbrushes and a variety of colourful paints to recreate rainbows on paper, carefully choosing and blending colours. They then explored a different method using kitchen paper and felt-tip pens. After drawing their rainbow designs, they added droplets of water, watching as the colours gently spread and mixed together — mimicking the blending effect of a real rainbow. 🎨 🖌️
This activity supported their understanding of weather and natural phenomenon while also developing their creativity, fine motor skills, and early scientific thinking through hands-on experimentation and observation 🌧️☀️🌈

It's been a while, but the walkers are back with a smile! 👟😀
The four of us embraced the cool air this evening and popped into town and down the river for a little catch up. The weeks are busy but we try and make time for something that makes us feel good and walking does the trick. We did an hour's walk tonight and we all felt so refreshed with our minds clearer as we head into our last working day of the week.
We also love being outdoors and the fact that Autumn is upon us is very exciting. We cant wait for all the lovely changes that it brings 🍂 🐿️🍁🦔
