Weâre looking for an experienced Management & Financial Accountant to support our Finance Director across statutory and management accounting. Youâll play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, OfS returns, VAT, and KPI analysis, helping to inform strategic decision-making across the Institute.
This is a hands-on role covering management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, audits, payroll oversight, and financial compliance, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and system development.
About you:
Youâll be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA / CIPFA) with experience in higher education finance, strong Excel skills, and confidence working with management accounts, budgets, and regulatory returns (OfS/VAT). Youâll be comfortable working independently, collaborating across teams, and communicating clearly with senior stakeholders.

đśEarly Years Childcare Assessorđ§ÂŁ23.99ph, on-going contract, 3 days per week (18 hours)
The Early Years Assessor will report into the Head of Apprenticeships and will support the successful enrolment, delivery, training, and achievements, via the application of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices for all apprentices within their given caseload. They will ensure all apprentices achieve timely and overall outcomes on Apprenticeship standards within Early Years.
The role will be mainly based at HRCâs Broxbourne Campus but also includes teaching online and assessing at Employersâ place of work in and around Hertfordshire and North London.
Typically, the Early Years Assessor role encompasses 18 hours of work over 2.5 days per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday although there is some flexibility on working pattern.
This role is all-year-round and ideally, we would like to appoint someone to start in ASAP. The successful candidate will be employed on a Temporary Contract basis via Herts Resourcing Group. The rate of pay is ÂŁ23.99 per hour, including holiday pay.
