βοΈ With temperatures soaring this week, we're taking extra steps to help keep our little ones comfortable and happy throughout the day.
From regular water breaks and shaded outdoor play to cool indoor activities and plenty of opportunities to rest, we're making sure children can continue to enjoy their day safely during the hot weather.
We'd like to thank parents for helping by ensuring children arrive with sun hats, suitable clothing and sun cream ready for the day ahead π
Stay cool everyone! π

π Every Child Learns Differently π
At Pepperberry, we understand that no two children are the same. That's why we create environments that allow children to explore, discover and learn in ways that work best for them.
Our sensory spaces provide opportunities for children to engage their senses, develop confidence, build communication skills and explore the world around them at their own pace.
Through play, curiosity and hands-on experiences, children are encouraged to learn, grow and thrive in a way that feels natural and enjoyable to them. π
Every child deserves the chance to shine, and we're proud to support each unique learning journey every day.

πβ¨ A Little Corner for Big Imaginations β¨π
Sometimes the simplest spaces create the biggest opportunities for learning.
Our cosy reading corner gives children a place to relax, explore stories, spark their imagination and develop a love of books from an early age. Whether they're sharing a story with friends, creating their own adventures or enjoying a quiet moment, every book opens the door to new possibilities.
At Pepperberry, we believe that nurturing a love of reading is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. π

ππππ ππ₯π₯π’π π
Ellie has been part of the Pepperberry family for just over a year, and here's what she had to say...
"My favourite thing about working in Early Years is getting involved in messy play with the children. I love watching them explore, create and learn through play.
When I'm not at nursery, you'll usually find me spending time with my family or out walking my dog.
My favourite children's book is *Zog* by Julia Donaldson because I love the story and its message about learning and perseverance."
We're so lucky to have Ellie as part of the Pepperberry team π
At Pepperberry, we believe it's important for families to know the people caring for their children each day. Our dedicated team are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive, and every member of our team is Paediatric First Aid trained for added peace of mind.

Investing in Inclusion at Pepperberry π
Last week, our team came together for a great evening of Inclusion Training, strengthening our knowledge, understanding and commitment to ensuring every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
At Pepperberry, we believe every child deserves an environment where they feel safe, respected and celebrated for who they are. Ongoing training helps us continue to develop our practice, ensuring we can meet the individual needs of all children and families within our nursery community.
We're incredibly proud of our dedicated team for giving up their evening to learn, reflect and grow together. π
Because creating an inclusive environment isn't just something we do β it's at the heart of everything we believe in.

π A little peek into life at Pepperberry...
This week our children have been exploring life on the farm through sensory play, animal matching activities and creative sheep printing.
From recognising different farm animals to experimenting with textures and creating their own artwork, every activity encourages curiosity, communication and confidence.
What looks like simple play is helping children develop important skills that support their learning and development every day. π

Meet Abby π
Abby is an Early Years Teacher at Pepperberry, here's what she had to say...
"With the support of Pepperberry, I am currently completing my ECT (Early Career Teacher) training, which is helping me develop further in my teaching journey.
I am very passionate about my role and committed to preparing and supporting children as they build the knowledge, skills, and values they need for personal growth and a successful future.
I love fostering independence, confidence, and well-being in every child. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading. Iβm currently working my way through The Ghost of Marlow House series (39 books in total-Iβm on number 18!), and my favourite childrenβs story is The Gruffalo.
One of my favourite quotes is: βAlways believe in yourself, you are enough.β This means a lot to me, and I have made it my personal mission to spread positivity, encourage confidence, and inspire self-belief, because doing our best is truly all we can ask of ourselves."

Some of our Pre-Prep children enjoyed an amazing visit to Peak Wildlife Park on Thursday π¦π
The day was filled with excitement, curiosity and plenty of opportunities to learn about the natural world. Seeing the children's faces light up as they met wallabies, penguins, lemurs and other wonderful animals was truly special β¨
Experiences like these help bring learning to life. As the children explored new environments, asked questions and observed animals up close, they were building confidence, developing communication skills and deepening their understanding of the world around them πΏ
There were lots of smiles, plenty of adventure and memories made throughout the day, making it a fantastic experience for everyone involved π§πΎ

Meet Holly π
Holly works in our Sweet Chilli Peppers room with our 2-3 year olds and loves how inquisitive the children are at this age.
Here's what she had to say...
"Hi, my name is Holly and I work in the 2-3 unit upstairs in Sweet Chilli Peppers. I have worked in childcare for the past 9 years and am level 3 qualified.
In my own time I enjoy spending time with family, going on days out and going on holidays exploring the world with my beautiful daughter Melody.
I love to support and watch each individual child meet their milestones and enjoy creating fun, stimulating and interesting activities.
Working in childcare is an incredibly rewarding job and everyday brings new opportunity helping children develop essential skills that they will carry throughout their life. I have learnt so much over the years of working in childcare and truly believe "children may forget what you say, but will never forget how you made them feel."
If you'd like to have a look around our nursery and meet our wonderful staff, just drop us a message and we can arrange a private tour π

π Inside Nursery Life π
Sometimes the smallest activities help build the biggest skills.
Our Chilli Peppers have been busy practising their pencil control and letter formation, developing the foundations they'll use as they prepare for school.
While it may look like a simple tracing activity, little hands are working hard to build concentration, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and confidence.
Every child develops at their own pace, and we love creating opportunities that help them learn, grow and achieve in a way that feels fun and engaging.
It's amazing to see how much progress can be made through the little moments that happen every day. π
