Hi i am Michelle, most people know me as Sabrena. I am the founder of Bredge Learning Institute INC, where se pride ourselves as the home of Second Chances.

I believe that education is the vehicle to upward mobility, regardless of our background, s*x, social status, gender, cultural background ect.

I was not always passionate about education, although at a tender age one of my biggest dreams was to attend university.

At age 10, i became a victim of Child s*xual abuse, a turning moment in my life. During my abuse which lasted for approximately four years, i regreseed. I regressed emotionally, socially and also in my studies. I performed poorly from form 2-4 and eventually i was told by my principal " Formal education is not for me i should go to NEWLO and learn a skill"

It wasn't that I was dunce, hard headed or delinquent, the reality was i was dealing with the pains of being abuse. The guilt of feeling sorry for myself, my family (If I spoke out who was going to belive me, who was going to provide for my mother and my other 9 siblings, the contemplation of su***de).

When i finally broke the silence, I moved to Carriacou, moved to Bishops College and there i was given a second chance. It was there and then I wanted more for myself. I started studying, started believing, started wanting more.

Before I write forever, let me conclude. I saw the value of a second chance, I saw the many doors education was able to open. Although it was a lonely road, staying up late at night, having to give up partying and other fun activities. It paid out in the long run.

For these and other reasons Bredge Learning Institute was formed. As a way of paying it forward, a way to ensure that adults who fell through the crack and given an opportunity to gain a second chance.

Life is not an easy but with God all things are possible.

I did it! You can too! Stop doubting yourselves, let go of your truama's and give yourself a second chance. What ever a second chance means to you, embrace it!!

Congrats to our youngest paticipant. Who wrote two subjects and amassed 100% passes.

It was very difficult having to attend classes five days a week, work life and family life (five children) one also doing CXC, had to help with SBA'S and two others with practicals etc.
I'm also a believer in Christ so I had to make sure to also include him in my busy schedule. There were times when I felt like throwing in the towel because my health started to deteriorate due to the longs hours and not much sleep or self care but I trusted God, had the support of my husband, friends and some family members and I also wanted this for myself, I have a dream and i know what i want and I want to be tje best example i can be for my children that they never give up and its never to late to start. My motto is once you have breath in your lungs and Jesus by your side ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE 🙏

I am happy that I was able to pass my subjects!! God is indeed good!

Hi My name is Kayla George. I will start by saying that what God can't do doesn't exist, and I will work on his timing. I was at my final year at secondary school when I found out I was pregnant, I was only sixteen at the time, becoming a mom at a young age, and never stopped me from achieving anything.
At Bredge Learning Institute INC, I found a second chance at sitting my 4 cxc subjects and passed all 4 with the help of the best tutors like Ms. Meisha Alexander , Ms. Richardson and Ms. Fletcher, the one with the superpowers who had to juggle her own studies, her baby, plus her work to ensure everyone understood.
Letting me don't forget our own personal tape recorder, Dr Michelle Sabrena Alexander (I don’t know who she calling tape recorder as 😂), I just want to say hearts off to all.And thank you for the opportunity to add value to myself am grateful 🙏

A second chance is something that not everyone gets in life. My name is Torrel Barrington, and I am a single mother who has been through a lot. From childhood trauma and physical abuse, I have faced many challenges. However, I strongly believe in God and have never lost hope. I knew I had to be an example for my children and break the cycle of pain and suffering. I am grateful for my brother Roland, who has always been there for me no matter what, and my dear friend Gravin, whose soul may rest in peace for always believing in me. I also want to thank my children and my tutors at the Bredge Learning Institution for their support and guidance. I am determined to make the most of this second chance and build a brighter future for myself and my loved ones.

My Second Chance at Bredge Learning Institute (Online)

When life felt like it was closing doors, Bredge Learning Institute opened one I never expected digitally. I didn’t walk into a physical classroom, but I logged into something just as powerful: a second chance.

Doing classes online wasn’t just convenient it was transformational. From my little corner of Grenada, I connected with educators who believed in me, challenged me, and reminded me that my goals were still within reach. The flexibility of online learning gave me room to balance life’s demands while staying focused on my academic comeback.

There were late nights, tech hiccups, and moments of doubt. But every login was a step forward. Every assignment submitted was proof that I was rewriting my story. Bredge didn’t just offer me education they offered me belief, structure, and the tools to rise again.
Today, I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished not just the grades, but the growth. My second chance came through a screen, but the impact was real, deep, and lasting. Bredge Learning Institute helped me turn a setback into a setup for something greater.

Meet Maggie Charles (one of our sister island Students, Petite Martinque to be precise)

My name is Maggie Charles,
Firstly, I would like to say trust in God in everything you do his timing is always perfect. At 17, I became a mom, and that never stopped me from wanting more for myself and my family.

At Bredge Learning Institute Inc. I was given a second chance opportunity to do just that which brings me closer to my goals.

The journey was not always easy, as most of us may know lady year we had a major hurricane, this was during our classes. Offcourse, online class was disrupted for me, since i had no internet to log in. However, I reemenered why i started and i remain committed to the task.

I can re-call our very first exam, Sociology and having to travel to Grenada with my other classmates from Carriacou. I had to leave Petite Martinique at 2:00 am to get to Carriacou for the boat. Thanks to Bredge Learning Institute INC all cost was taken care of for us to go to and from Grenada.
Despite these challenges i am happy to say that I was able to pass all my CAPE subject's, i also managed to get a Grade 1 in Tourism Management, which makes me super happy and excited.

I would like to thank my family because they have given me the motivation to push forward, and I am so grateful. All thanks also go out to the amazing tutors at Bredge
