NO SOCK LIFE Sailing and Travels

After leaving Indiana, we headed east to Ohio to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was such a beautiful park filled with waterfalls, forests, rocks, marshes, and more! We had a great time exploring - and it was entirely dog friendly, so Sailor got to explore with us 🐾

Time for a beach day at Indiana Dunes National Park! Right on the shores of Lake Michigan, the water was a little chilly but Finnley jumped right in. Since it was such a clear day, we were also able to see the Chicago skyline. 💦

Since we were in Indianapolis, we had to check out the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!! 🏁🏁
There were no races going on while we were in town, but we had a great time in the museum. Finnley’s favorite was the race car simulator 🏎️

We visited the Gateway Arch while in St Louis, and took the tram all the way to the top! It is a very small tram car, but the views were amazing!

First, we had a great time exploring City Museum - a unique play scape with tunnels, secret passages, and slides around every corner! We climbed through airplanes mounted over 50’ in the air, as well as dark narrow tunnels under the floor. One of Finnley’s new favorite places!!
That evening we enjoyed a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game, which is also our Harvest Host motorhome spot for the night!

Gotta stop at all the fun and unusual places along the way! Had a great rest stop and lunch in Uranus!

Started another big adventure in the motorhome! First stop was trout fishing at Roaring River State Park 🎣

After watching the Crystal Beach parade, we took the ferry over to Galveston for more Mardi Gras festivities. We had no idea until this weekend, but Galveston hosts one of the top Mardi Gras celebrations in the US! The roads were all blocked off, and everyone had their tents set up along the medians. It was such a fun atmosphere, and Finnley had a blast! 💜💛💚
