NTA is participating in an Open House Exhibition hosted by Camper and Nicholson Port Louis Marina at the Marina in collaboration with the Grenada Tourism Authority the Grenada Yacht Club and the Blue Economy. The Exhibition is intended to give students from primary to University level exposure to the marine and yachting sector and the careers available. Also on site were TAMCC and several businesses catering to the marine world.

NTA's Quality Assurance Coordinator Nadine Lett and Research and Development Officer at the Grenada National Accreditation Board Dahelia Thomas are currently in Scotland on a study visit celebrating 25 years of the Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework (SCQF). The three day event being held from 26-28, May 2026 is taking place at the Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow in partnership with the British Council Scotland. Participants will explore how the SCQF supports flexible learner centred pathways across education and skills systems, innovative learning qualifications, practical approaches to marketing the SCQF, and participate in the presentation of cases studies, panel discussions and real-life experiences through site visits to centres embracing the SCQF.

The Grenada National Training Agency signs contribution agreement with the Government of Canada through the Local Engagement Action Fund (LEAF) to implement the 'Work and Learn: Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme'.

The Program was launched today at the Point Salines Hotel with a short ceremony in which the participants were presented with their learning resources. Training will be conducted in three occupational areas - Housekeeping Supervision Bartending and Mixology, and Commercial Food Preparation - Pastry Chef leading to CVQ level three certification over the next eight months. Forty-five apprentices employed at 11 hotels will benefit from this first time pilot apprenticeship in the Hospitality sector.

Remarks were delivered by Senator Adrian Thomas Minister of Tourism the Creative Economy and Culture, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Elvis Morain, Programne Manager, Field Support Services Project Caribbean, Canada LEAF Caribbean Program Officer, Stephannie Coy and CEO of the GNTA, Dr. Kemoy Edward's.

The Apprenticeship Program is been implemented in partnership with the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association.
