The Mac Donald College Debaters continued their winning streak at the 11th season of the Grenlec Debates.

Yesterday, they claimed victory against the St. Joseph's Convent St. George with a 19-point lead!

SJCSG: 323

The impromtu style debate centered on the resolution:

" Be it resolved, that placement in secondary schools be based on academic performance."

This win comes after their victory against the Grenada Christian Academy on September 28th, debating the resolution

" Be it resolved, that the blue economy should be a main contributor to Grenada's economic development."

District Two hosted its annual science fair at the St. Patrick's Anglican School on May 17th 2023. Our science students participated with their various innovations/creations.

Grenapé: This project aims to reduce food wastage, food insecurity, and dependency on meat products by using Green Banana peels to create a meat substitute.

E-Irrigation System: An electronically controlled plant irrigation system that is able to sense moisture levels in the soil and relase water as needed. This project aims to deal with the water shortages during the dry season through water conservation.

E-Irrigation won Most Futuristic award & both Grenapé & E-Irrigation move on to the Nationals.

MAC DONALD COLLEGE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!

Yazid Richardson, 15 years of Mt. Alexander, St. Patrick has qualified for Carifta 2023. Yazid is full of energy and is described as 'having fire under his feet' and as 'the child that can't get tired'.
He is MDC's reigning cross country & road race champion. The form 2 student is the son of the iconic Stephanie Ferguson, who during her reign, also made the Carifta team & won many medals.
Yazid, you have done yourself, your parents, your community & Mac Donald College proud.
