Stepping Stones Pre-School

It’s is our Under the Sea themed Stay and Play next week, Tuesday 23rd June 1:30-2:30.
Our Stay and Play sessions are a great way for parents/cares to see what your child gets up to at Preschool. Siblings are welcome too 🤗
Everyone is welcome to attend, even if your child doesn’t usually attend on Tuesdays!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and families for your generous donations during our fundraising week for Cystic Fibrosis!

We were delighted to take part in ‘Doing It Yellow’ and seeing everyone’s efforts in wearing yellow this week to raise awareness!

Your kindness and support will help make a real difference and we know it has really meant a lot to Martha and her family! 💛

We managed to raise £165 from play dough sales and donations! Pre-School will match this making our total a fantastic £330 raised for Cystic Fibrosis! 💛

Our yellow lemon scented playdough is now for sale for £2.50 per pot! Don’t forget all money raised this week will be matched by Stepping Stones. So let’s go yellow for Cystic Fibrosis! 💛🍋⭐️🌼

The children have been very busy getting creative using glue, scissors, tape and stamps this week ✂️
The box is still going and is still as popular as ever! Some have found different ways they can relax inside of it 🤪🤸
As always, we have loved our story times and singing as a group. Thanks you to those who have borrowed books this week! We love to share 🥰

What a wonderful two weeks we’ve had at preschool! ☀️🎨✂️

The children have been busy exploring and learning through lots of hands-on fun. We’ve enjoyed playing with playdough, using numicon to build our number skills, and practising our scissor control with cutting activities.

There’s also been plenty of creativity with painting and art, alongside lots of outdoor adventures in our new outside play area! The children have loved riding the scooters and bikes, playing with the cars, and making the most of the beautiful sunny weather. 🚲🚗🌞
It’s been lovely to see so much laughter, imagination, teamwork, and confidence growing every day!

There’s been a lot of great conversations about ‘big school’ from the children who have started their visits and the children who will soon be starting theirs!

Thanks again to the families for their donations of Little Tykes cars! The children love them!! 🚗 ♥️

This week we have been finishing our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic.

The children have had a wonderful time learning about all the amazing people in our community who help keep us safe, healthy and happy!

We talked about different jobs such as Firefighters, Police Officers, Doctors, Nurses, Vets and many more. The children enjoyed role playing, dressing up, listening to stories and making emergency vehicles.
