Our Snack Shack initiative continued with the second outing today. Cherry tomatoes, cucumber and watermelon were all on offer at playtime. There were queues of children all keen to try today's healthy snacks. Thank you to the The Health Improvement Commission for Guernsey and Alderney LBG for their continued support. So far our trial is proving very popular - what was left over after playtime this morning was finished off at lunchtime!

We continue to work hard to provide lots of opportunities to and promote positive playtime experiences. This week Mrs Cooper and our Rights Respecting 'Seen and Heard' pupil group have developed and put together some playtime suitcases. There is a KS1 Reading suitcase, a KS2 Reading suitcase, an Arts & Crafts suitcase and a Games suitcase. The children really enjoyed using the resources today and everyone had a happy, fun playtime!

Very proud of two of our Year 5 children who won awards this evening at the Guernsey Press Design-an-ad presentation!! Well done!!

Our Y6 children have had a brilliant first day at camp. It’s been a busy day but full of fun and adventures. The children have now eaten and are getting organised and tidied up ready to settle down for the night.

Congratulations to our boys cricket team who took part in a tournament this afternoon. Despite winning all their matches they missed out on a place in the finals by just a few runs. So they went into the playoffs for 3rd/4th place. They won that match and so placed 3rd in the tournament overall. Well done boys - yet again staff report excellent teamwork and sportsmanship, superb behaviour and attitudes and said you represented our school brilliantly. Amazing effort from everyone - we are super proud of you all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today we launched our Snack Shack initiative in partnership with the The Health Improvement Commission for Guernsey and Alderney LBG It was a very successful first session! Mrs Cooper said 'We had lots of excited children, eager to taste the delicious watermelon, sugar snap peas and red peppers. The children have voted for their favourite. We’re looking forward to next Friday’s Snack Shack already!'

The children can choose to try a range of different fruits and vegetables during playtime, initially a couple of times a week. We hope to be able to extend the offer as our Snack Shack grows in popularity. Thank you again to the The Health Improvement Commission for Guernsey and Alderney LBG who are supporting us with the cost of the fruits and vegetables and this morning even came to school to help us to slice and dice!

Another perfect day for a swim! This morning Y5 really enjoyed their lesson. They all said the water was lovely and warm!

We absolutely LOVED getting in the pool today!! Happy, summer vibes!! And lots of great swimming!
