> Night 1 Completed Successfully

Alhamdulillah, we have successfully completed the first night of our Muharram Nightly Programme.

We would like to sincerely thank *Sayyeda Maham and Sayyeda Asiya* for their beautiful presentation on "What is Ashura?"

May *Allah (SWT) reward them abundantly* and accept their efforts in serving the remembrance of *Imam al-Husayn (as)*

We also thank all the sisters who attended and participated.

Insha'Allah, we look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow at 9:00 PM UK Time.

Imam al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) said:
"When the crescent of Muharram appears, the angels spread the garment of al-Husayn (عليه السلام), torn by the blows of swords and stained with blood. We and our Shi'a see it with inner insight, not with physical sight, and then our tears begin to flow."

The narration is very famous on the minbar and in Muharram lectures, but its chain and source are not established in the early authoritative Shia hadith books that scholars have been able to locate. The known source is Thamarāt al-Aʿwād (ج1 ص36–37), cited without a verifiable sanad
