On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Ag. Deputy Executive Director of the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), Mr. Larry K. Agbador, participated in the Professional Development Institute for Educators themed “Power Up Your Pedagogy – Integrating Technology for Dynamic Learning”, held at the International Community School, Madina. The event was organised by Ghana ASCD in partnership with the Ghana EdTech Alliance, and brought together educators, school leaders, and EdTech stakeholders committed to advancing technology-enabled teaching and learning in Ghana.

In his address, Mr. Agbador emphasised that technology alone does not create great teachers; rather, great teachers empowered by technology will shape Ghana’s future. He encouraged educators to embrace EdTech and AI in ways that are ethical, responsible, and aligned with learning objectives.

He further noted that technology should not burden teachers, but rather empower them. He added that the true value of digital tools lies in their ability to amplify the craft of teaching, support creativity in the classroom, and enhance meaningful engagement between teachers and learners.
“That is how we power up pedagogy,” he stated, not by outsourcing thinking, but by elevating teaching.

CENDLOS remains committed to working with educators, EdTech innovators, development partners, and all stakeholders to expand opportunities for technology-enabled learning across Ghana. We therefore call on government institutions, schools, EdTech companies, development partners, and the broader education community to support CENDLOS through strong partnerships and collaboration as we work together to build a digitally confident, equity-driven, and future-ready Ghanaian education system.
