🌍✨ Spotlight on AFS Alum Joshua Opoku Agyemang!

We are proud to celebrate Joshua Opoku Agyemang, AFS alum and member of the first cohort of the Sir Cyril Taylor Young African Leaders Program, for playing a pivotal role in Ghana’s landmark National AI Strategy. 🇬🇭🤖

Joshua contributed to stakeholder engagements during the strategy development process and supported planning and ex*****on of the strategy’s official launch — helping shape an important milestone for Ghana’s digital future.

A defining highlight? Joshua led the robotics team behind the AI-powered Bot, built by young Ghanaian engineers, which delivered the very first printed copy of the National AI Strategy to the President — a powerful symbol of innovation placing Ghana’s future directly into the hands of its leadership. 🚀

His journey is a reminder of what young leaders can achieve when vision, innovation, and purpose come together. We are inspired to see AFS alumni contributing to solutions that shape national and global futures.

👏 Congratulations, Joshua — we celebrate your leadership and impact!

Many imagine the adventure, the photos, and the excitement of living in a new country. But the experience goes much deeper — it’s about stepping into unfamiliar spaces, navigating new classrooms, building connections across cultures, and embracing emotions words sometimes cannot explain.

For Asia Vaccher, who was hosted in Ghana, her exchange became more than a journey abroad. It was a season of learning, adapting, and discovering new perspectives.
Her experience reshaped how she sees the world, how she connects with people, and how she understands herself.

🎥 Hear Asia share her story and reflect on how exchange changes lives — often in ways you never expect.
